Correct. NC has carried on what SCW started a few years back. We want to be the best in every area we can, be it on the football field or off it. We want the best keeper, defence, etc etc and that follows through to the commercial side of the club (business). If we get the right commercial model, it will give us more income, and will enable us to buy better players, and enable us to compete in this and higher leagues/competitions.

The club has a great feel about it right now, and that is coming right from the top. NA and NC want the right type of person to play for the club. Someone who takes an interest in the local community and actually give a damn about the club and the fans. Before you speak to players, you cant get the feel for them - so its completely believable that we took the view that suggested targets didn't have the right 'feel' when talking to them. It's not every club that can attract the commercial manager from Man City. This club IS going places, and I for one am glad to be involved

Was at an event last night and NA mentioned he's doing a talk in Birmingham today, and he said - maybe tongue in cheek - that he hopes that by the time he gets back down south we would have signed 2 more players. He said it with a smile in his face, and didn't sound overly serious, but a strange thing to say un-prompted.

Haven't got time to read through the last x number of pages so don't know if this has been said before, but Lee is in the building and Adkins met him today.

Thanks dingbatt. He's a very calm boy, most of the time, so think he could handle missing the routine every now and again, but it's difficult to know having never done it before! Day 1 of the routine tonight. Strange being downstairs without the little man!!

This may be a stupid question, but being a new parent of just 7 weeks im unsure... When a baby is getting into/in a night time routine does that rule out any family visits at night - will that screw up the routine and unsettle the baby too much, or are they adaptable enough to cope and settle back?

I wouldnt be so sure. Spending £6/7/8M to get to the PL is small change in comparison
