I worked with a fella from Romsey once, a former barber called Paul Oseman, top bloke actually, his stepfather was black and for years was the only black man in Romsey apparently! Obviously Romseys not very cosmopolitan!
-
If you've left it in a taxi i'm SURE one of my colleagues will endeavour to return it to you intact! (-;
-
Please do! i for one would love a copy of that and would certainly make my collection available if needed, have some quite rare items.
-
Glad it was a Saints fan.... keep trying to get time to post a few from my collection on this thread, hopefully tomorrow or sunday. Do you collect badges FF perhaps you could post a few pics, or the fella who bought the said badge?
-
So who won it then? Raysfc is another name that springs to mind! or maybe there are others, perhaps even a general collector of football badges and not even a Saints fan! hope not!

I am regularly outbid by a certain toadhall saint, i know you claim this is not you but its a BIG coinidence. (-;
-
Enjoy your badge Mr Toadhall Saint!

Well seeing as the oldest badges in my collection of 150 uniques are late 1960s and worth £40/50 on ebay id say IF this was genuine (which i now think it might be) it is well worth that sort of money (just wish i could justify it to Mrs Le Taxi in this climate!) This is by far the oldest Saints badge i've seen and probably ever will, in fact i would say it could be the Holy Grail of Saints badges.

He IS saying its from 1908 now!
-
Any club historians use the forum? im intrigued now but sufficiently sceptical enough not to bid!
-
email response to a question i sent him; Hello , Thank You for interest. That Southampton FC together with other badges were obtained from realatives of one scandinavian Football player 1906-1916. There was a note that badge came from Southampton FC tour scandinavian countries in 1910. I don't selling reproduction / not original items , sorry. With Best Wishes , Darius - dk999 Did we tour Scandinavia in 1910 anyone know? his english is very good for a Lithuanian!
-
whilst we're on the subject if anyone has any surplus saints badges pm me for an offer!
-
Gone from 47 views to 150 in half an hour! shows how many view this forum without posting! (the advertising cheque from lithuania is being written as we speak! (-; )
-
What and risk that perfect feedback!
-
Almost convinced mself it was genuine then! i think i wanted it to be the real deal, even as a 50s product its got to be worth around £ 50/60 (think i might make an offer).
-
It IS over a hundred years old! but still i know what ou mean, the most ive spent so far is £35 (dont tell Mrs Le Taxi!)
-
He's got good feedback but something doesn't seem right, was there the technology to produce that type of montage in 1909?
-
Anyone help me out here? im sorely tempted to bid but not sure if its genuine, a lot of money to waste on a fake. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1908-1909-SOUTHAMPTON-FOOTBALL-CLUB-BADGE_W0QQitemZ400095653387QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_SportsMemorabilia_Football_Memorabilia_ET?hash=item5d278f2e0b
