Well yeah, me too. I couldn't quite fathom how they were going to ban Tonda for months given how they'd handled Bielsa. Pleased that the FA punishment has at least been proportionate.

Why would the club fear a ban that long? Anything more than 9 months would go beyond the end of his contract anyway; let alone going beyond the point where they would need to bin him off for a new manager.

At risk of opening this up again - the club have already been punished under the rules put in place. That bit's done and dusted. Tonda has been charged under rules that haven't changed in some time.

You're right. Why would it be important to know where you heard it from? It's not as if the credibility of the information rests on it.

They'd only reflect who's betting on what, rather than on any actual information.
