You the author would have had a valid point if our "star" signings have been good and performed well, they haven't they have been ****, our workhorse signings of Lambert and Davis have been the best by a long stretch. -

I dont have a clue to why that was written but Hurlock was a far better player than ever given credit for and Dowie kept us up the following season with some important goals. -
Villa and a few more goals before that game as well.

For sure as Fox is **** and should be anywhere near this team.

Great post, fully agree.

Is first team football really the issue?Players still represent their Nation without being 1st choice for their club, Wayne Bridge obviously didn't give ****s and there are many others.

People on here I understand are going to be a little bit biased about our club but such one eyed skewed vision is stupid, Everton, Liverpool and Spurs are all far far bigger than us so to secure the players us and them want we will have to pay more, thats the reality of it, why would a player choose us over them? Why?

Fellani can only leave if a bid of £23 Million or more is accepted, Baines will only go to a North West club as he is close to his family, City or United are the probable options.

On those terms we will have dignity and I applaud that but we will not qualify for Europe, Everton did it once on the cheap but once and they spent more on players and wages than we did, its a pipe dream to qualify consistenly for Europe on the cheap, it can not be done from the Premiership with the size and financial clout of far larger clubs. Thats realism and where we are at.
