Would Sunderland want to change with us? A possible Cup win, home Cup draw for the last 8 and probably enough to stay up (my opinion, Fulham, Cardiff, Palace are weaker)? Good gamble. -

Who are we going to leapfrog? And how are we going to do this? We can unless we get a huge backer, we have not so as it stands it wont happen, I'm 99.9% sure of that. -
Our forward line is very weak, Lambert well of the boil and Rodriquez who is playing well but is not a natural goalscorer as if he takes a snap shot or does something instinctive I feel it has a better chance of comeing off than if he has to think about it like a one on one etc etc. Assured quality is needed and if we are not prepared to pay that then a Premiership proven player is required and if we are not prepared to pay that we should be buying the cream from the Championship.

They would but that does not detract he is happy to float along. -
They are very much in the minority then, good article that, quite fair http://footballblog.co.uk/win-cup-stay-premier-league-question-wigan-athletic.html

I know a skate and they wouldn't swap their recent Cup for anything. But their demise is not what I meant or refered was it?

Possibly its like any Final but they have a better chance than we do of winning it. -

Thank you Monkeyboy for answering the question, most on here will ***** about the thread yet contribute nothing and try to derail it. -

Its not but winning a trophy is or should be the overall ambition of a football club, so winning something is better than stagnation. -

They are not in the relegation zone. -
Can we thank the UKIP party for thing at least? I refer to the fact they have brought the immigration question out in to the open so after a while the general population can now feel a little bit easier discussing it without fear of being called a racist or fascist by some parties/people? I believe this is a good thing for all as it brings out all the questions into the open and we can see how to move onwards together with the agreement of all hopefully, the main parties now have to fully address the issues they have raised as in this next election it is going be a huge % of a voters thought time.

The happier ones will try to derail the thread but wont clearly answer the question, its all hypothetical anyway, they are simply scared to commit themselves, middle of the road fans I suppose Glasgow. -
I think he said he was prepared to take that chance, an example of winning and yet losing as well is a Wigan fan I know, he would not change anything about winning the Cup and the memories, I have not met any Wigan fan that would.

They do have poorer player than us, not too sure what that means either. -

No, not too sure what that has to do with the initial question on the thread mind. -

Yes I was at the JPT Final and it was a great great day, as was our ZDS Final against Forest but the question I was asking (no I am not trolling at all) was if you could swap positions with them would you? Sure they could get humped in the Final, go down and hopefully lose to us in the last 16 BUT as it stands at the moment would you? They could win the Final, stay up and be in the last 8 of the FA Cup, they have a chance of that at least AND they have a day out at Wembley at the very least. -
Final of the League Cup and now out the relegation zone, would you exchange it for our safety? They have us in the last 16 at home and like us will be eyeing up the last 8 so in short would you swap their position (not teams, not culture etc etc), do you wish we were going to the League Cup Final but with higher chance of getting relegated? Only time will tell, I would take the risk and if it failed would take the consequences, the reason for this is simply because of our lack of success in winning trophies, if we had won a Cup or even a European place in recent years I would not have gambeled it.

People have visions of God and others are non believers, buying a vision is what exactly?

Not really every team that has won the Premiership has spent an awful lot of money, even to qualify n a consistent basis you have to spend millions every year. We are were even with Cortese there capable of doing that, I'm sorry if people believed that but they were and are naive.

Barry Sanchez in 3rd person said this 12 months ago even after the great start, the glass ceiling has been reached. If supporters are now realising it all well and good.

Cheerful or not it as a believable scenario as any out there without validation.
