The irony of you coming on to a thread I have created to moan about me is not lost, if I did not post you simply would moan about someone else disagreeing with what you have said as opposed to discussing the points they/I have made.

Was he the first choice Italian centre forward? Or is he more of a selection along the lines of Lambert, Sturridge and Defoe ie of no one else is about he gets the nod.
-
Now you are aasuming to deflect, an old tactic used over the years when persons are losing their argument. The ability to apologise and say one was wrong never goes out of fashion though.
-
West Brom and Everton are very different beasts.
-
Lovren of course a success, a blinding success to be fair. My favourite player, I dont really do that stuff, a player I appreciate is Steven Davis for his workrate and commitment.
-
I dont know but if they qualify for Europe that would have enhanced their chances of buying more quality, stands to reason dont you think? Our striker has scored 3 goals, been suspended and just belted our own player, not bad for £15 Million, what would you rather have? I keep looking at the table and no matter what way I look at it Everton are in a far better position concering position in the table and recent signings than us.
-
Of course I am in agreement with him on that, I disagreed with him saying it though and I did not believe a word of it. As for your other piece , where have I been proved on this, in fact on any recent Saints prediction?
-
Why when we look back and say it was a mistake to sign a foreign import and bought an English player with promise the stock answer is a sarcastic one suggesting players like Lee Trundle or Kevin Nolan? One thing is for sure the the players we have bought and who have been a success are the ones who have grown with us from the lower Leagues and the ones who have played in British football before we signed them.
-
Exactly, why dont we do it? Look at it this way, would you give back Ramirez and Osvaldo? Forren and Mayuka would have been sorted quick as well, there is £34 Million straight there saved.
-
No, no I dont.
-
Osvaldo 13 games. 3 goals. 3 yellow cards. Missed 6 games through injury, illness. How many games could he miss through suspension?
-
There is nothing wrong with ambition and that is to be applauded, what I think is silly is actually saying it the way he did, surely he knows he is on a hiding to nothing by saying that?
-
I agree but I get the feeling that is exactly what Liebherr wants, stability so its easy to sell. If she cant not sell at the right price a firesale and then get whatever she can for it.
-
Saints did not, Cortese did and possibly Leslie.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2444164/Mauricio-Pochettino-Forget-Europa-League-Southampton-want-Champions-League.html Do you think Liebherr has seen this and thought we cant do that and not mean it, so therefore the aims and direction we are now taking are lower key not to put more pressure on the manager? Should she come out with a set of directions clear and concise for all to understand what path the business is planned for? We all want to finish as high as possible and use youth, thats obvious but unlesss we retain what we have and have another 5/6 players from there we wont progress, Ferguson has been quoted as saying the fledgings wont happen again in his lifetime and I agree so it means in reality we shall have to spend, how much? And how much for hoe many places? Do we really want Europa Cup football as it means we have to strengthen further (I would regardless)? Do we want or more so does Liebherr want us to be a middling club neither going up nor down and simply a cup of tea and digestive side neither offensive nor inoffensive? What is in short and what are the long term apsirations of her and her team? I think she has no real long team intentions and simply can not wait to get out of the football game myself.

Dont let Pap see anything to do with Kevin Keegan, he thinks he was a poor signing for us!!!
-
Adrian I said this when the cultist was here and got bullied, harrassed and abused for it, the happier ones are changing their tune now on Cortese whereas I have always been the consistent one on him, strange the realists seem to be correct and yet get abused, weird logic on here.
-
The lifestyle was sold to him ie the New Forest and its an all round superb place to live for a millionaire footballer not used to going to Cannes, Monte Carlo, Rome, Monaco, Ibiza and the Maldives.
-
The hits keep on coming, I wonder if the Cortese lovers and advocates of his transfer (note his) policies will have the balls to say he knew nothing of the game, hold on who is at the helm now? A Ice hockey player and an accountant and someone who reluctantly has to be there. Positive?
-
Same as Liverpool then? Or Crystal Palace? Stripes have been with us for years, they suit us and they are us in spirit.
-
Can we get up some classic Champions League or Southampton destined for the big time posts, for reference of course as now these people I suspect think the same of Liebherr, time will tell whether the realists will be correct again but I suspect they will. 1) No more blue chip signings (they were crap and were veiled with insider trading but hey ho) 2) Investment from within, real politik for no more big crap players. 3) On youth as explained above. 4) Stability, well this is obvious no club would want to unstable. 5) Make the place more fun! This is childlike, you are at work and you are paid (very well) to do a job regardless of whether you are having a laugh, is she known for having a laugh? My opinions from the piece so please shoot me down for it but please dont be nasty and use abusive language as I dont.

We have nearly always had shiit kits but then so have most of the other teams in this Country, Newcastle gave never dared mess with their barcode effort, why did we? I do understand they have to make it shiit or average to keep the punters buying them but please the only kit I wear now is the sash number. The old Man Utd Draper home one is ok but thats it, in the 90's we really had such bad kits they were good.
-
No we love our club just as much as you do but simply put we know our current limitations and know exactly whats needed to pursue the dream they purport, money thats all nothing more nothing less, without it we are not going anywhere, same with Liebherr and it was with Cortese as such, thats all, a couple of wins over the nig boys does not make us gush as we fully understand what is needed to get into and maintain a consistent European challenge, money and lots of it. We are not that different merely we know our boundaries, you dont like it that they have been pointed out, its nothing to do with support or getting behond the team, I would love to be wrong but the World is a cynical cold and shiit house place and business only functions on money nothing more.
