He also writes that our interest has cooled, despite MP saying we wanted him in his press conference. Then again, he gets a lot of transfer stuff right.

http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/everton-transfer-news-victor-wanyama-2034347 Everton enter the race according to Nixon, but they have to sell first.
-
Right, in that case, unless a new bidder has stepped in, I think it may be good news for us. I think if it was a new bidder, Nixon would have said so, since a new team coming in for him, (whose identity he'll reveal in the paper) is too good a hook to not disclose. Wanyama staying at Celtic is not really good news for anyone if it means Celtic don't get the money they want this summer and have to accept much less next summer. It means Wanyama hasn't got the move to a higher profile league he wants for another year It's not good for us for obvious reasons.
-
Given Celtic seem to want the money, to my mind either the agent has given in accepted NC's offer, NC has caved in to the agent's demands or Cardiff have come back with a new offer.

according to this dimarzio article someone posted in the Damiao thread, Galatasaray have told Fiorentina that he'll cost €15m http://translate.google.co.uk/translate?hl=en&sl=it&u=http://www.gianlucadimarzio.com/calciomercato/napoli-rilancio-per-mario-gomez-fiorentina-su-yilmaz/&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dhttp://www.gianlucadimarzio.com/calciomercato/napoli-rilancio-per-mario-gomez-fiorentina-su-yilmaz/%26safe%3Dactive%26client%3Dfirefox-a%26hs%3DxBu%26rls%3Dorg.mozilla:en-US:official relevant bit

What about Burak Yilmaz? Reportedly would cost €15m, excellent goal record last year (24 in 30 league games & 8 in 9 in CL). strong, quick & excellent in the air.
-
Gomez has reportedly been on the brink of joining Fiorentina for a while now with the move not completing, it wouldn't be a shock if he had a change of heart now a CL team like Napoli are atempting to muscle in.
-
Well yeah, just making the point that with the clause in we are guaranteed an excellent price for him when we eventually sell him.
-
Shaw is far more gifted a defender than Bale was when he played for us (let's be honest Bale's defending wasn't that great, he was a winger being shoehorned in at LB). Shaw gets up and down the pitch really well, but for me his defending is the stronger part of his game. he has the makings of the perfect modern full back (strong, quick, hard to beat in the air and very good at going forward.

£20m plus release clause? Huge fee for a full back.
-
no chance we're signing this *****

Tancredi palmeri was just on talksport, unfortunately he waffled on about Cavani to PSG then ran out of time before he could get to Damiao
-
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2356497/Southampton-interested-Leandro-Damiao-Ever-Banega.html Mail thinks Cardiff are ready to give up on Wanyama after Celtic rejected an 11m bid from them.
-
very, an aging anelka is a pretty **** poor replacement for lukaku
-
i'll write a quick summary when he's been on.
-
Tancredi Palmeri @tancredipalmeri 1m Stay tuned here, but also don't miss me live at 1.30am @talkSPORT @tsExtraTime : Cavani, Mancini and Leandro Damiao on the menu tancredi palmeri is going to talk about damiao on talksport later on tonight.
-
your right, maybe they collectively checked down the back of their sofas
-
pretty similar to the gaston transfer last summer, where penarol owned 30%
-
BBC reckon Leroy Fer will have a medical with Norwich next week, good signing for them. Seems the "also-ran" sides are making some good moves this summer.
-
Are the third party owners a different club or some kia joorbichan like agent? if it's the latter, agent fee may not be as much of an issue as they would get a chunk of the transfer fee.
-
can't blame him here to be honest given the subject at hand and that anything he says will be reprinted all over the world. doubt mp would want to get his words wrong and say something that could be misconstrued then quoted repeatedly in the nationwide press.
-
at 20-25m we probably are over paying considering that kind of money will get you a top class striker with an established goalscoring record in Europe.
-
imagine if these sisu ****s ad gotten their hands on saints. we'd be playing home games in ****ing basingstoke.
