Player's agents must have advised their clients to hang in there rather than reach a compromise. You would hope they know what's happening re paying up of contracts in the event of liquidation.
-
The PFA have very deep pockets and look after their members well. Would guess they would want to send a powerful message out. And quite rightly so.
-
We are then in the scenario where the players would quite rightly be putting in a case for constructive dismissal. Whichever way you look at it they, like Chinny, WILL get their money.

Vote cast for statue - clear leader at the moment

Anyone any ideas why the pre-CVA meeting story on portsmouth News was pulled before the meeting, and no follow up story posete after the meeting finished. Would have thought an article about the 'CVA being passed' would have been lapped up. Seems odd.

http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/pompey-past/pompey-s-cva-meeting-due-to-take-place-this-morning-1-3986656 10:14 AM on 25/06/2012 Just imagine a few Saints fans getting together one evening in a pub and hatching a little plan. Pretty soon they had 500 mates and acquaintances on board. All 500 have pledged to the PST. What's going to happen to the bid when they withdraw their pledges? Sha la la la la la.......Still laughing? ps bring back Tiger/Plan B. He's the best thing on the internet. Hilarious! OK - who's winding them up today of all days??

Fun starts at 11.00am

True enough, but to be honest I'd be happy with that outcome and I'm sure at that level it could be sold to a lot of their bestest supporters too.
-
It's actually a plausable scenario - especially as they've apparently applied to join the Blue Square - ditch the players, lose the golden share, start at the bottom of the pile. Can't honestly see any other way of shedding the big earners.
-
Love it. If I had my time again, would seroiously consider a career in archaeology on the back of it.
-
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18551274 Looks like the bid's in. Just got to see what it offers now.
-
Didn't Birch say that it would have to be significantly different from Chanari's bid to be put forward?
-
If nothing else it keeps this thread going for a few more years
-
Looking at the level of interest in PST not many on Portsea Island give a toss about them either.
-
You don't appear to have been the only one today
-
That'll be the PFC wound up as part of the last admin won't it, rather than the current (PFC2010) incarnation??
-
IIRC, hasn't the money almost run out - I guess he's not got time to wait in case they put in a bid.
-
True, but BHAFC had sold the ground a few months before that for just £6M. Presumably the difference in valuations was down to the planning status at the time? Also there's not the appetite - political or exonomic for out of town shopping centres at this time.
-
thay are apparently to release a statement at 3.00pm

2p in the £ or nothing of TBH doesn't walk then.

Exactly!
