  1. I can't start quoting exactly what Koeman said, off-camera, for a couple of reasons. One, it's being kept under wraps by some of the local media.

Two, I don't think it'd go down very well if I outright said what he actually did say to us. But, Vilhena will be a Saints player next season.

He wants the deal. Koeman wants the deal. Price should be good, with just one year left. When he's our player, I'll say.

Now whether people want to make snide remarks or not is up to them - I'm just passing on what I heard, first person, from Koeman at Staplewood.

    Take it or leave it.

SA, from SSA, keep your mouth buttoned me old mate. We can wait.

From someone who has a mate ITK who will tell me f-all now beacuse someone in his crowd blabbed and 3 got sacked over it.

  2. You can't' date=' which is why it happens. The game moves too quickly for the existing officiating set-up, which means it is prone to numerous officiating errors. Much of that is a part of the game (I would personally find it very boring if the game was devoid of Ref errors and every decision was correct) however until [b']diving can either be retrospectively punished [/b](unlikely given the current rules) or the players become more honest (never going to happen) then diving will always happen.

I agree, but perhaps the only way to root it out is with retrospective punishment. A player rolling around on the floor, holding his leg, quickly gets up and takes the free kick, this is definatly simulation and annoys the hell out of me. If an analysis done on how players in rugby go down after interference with their feet and legs, with them trying to maintain momentum until they hit the ground, and apply this to the football model, you can clearly see those that are similating, those that just give up the ghost and go down, and those that try and maintain their footing but end up going down any way.

  3. I doubt that. Most Football Players are not especially well educated as they spend their formation years on the soccer pitch rather than in class!

    Yuki.

That may be so but for 1/2 his wage I would build the aqueduct for him. So whose laughing now.

  4. Grauniad or Guardian? Muppet.

Hey Grigsy, my mate at work remembers you but can't decide if it was when you both supported Arsenal or man Utd.

He said he can't catch up yet as he's supporting Liverpool, but if Saints qualify for the champions league, which seems likely, he'll support Saints and you can catch up.

  5. I liked Cork, but if there's one thing we've learnt it's when a good player leaves Saints now, a better one replaces him. Be patient.

And we are left with plenty of cash.........Plus their ability seems to diminish.

I reckon, according to my little squint of an ITK, that the black box already has a number of potential replacments anyway.

Don't want to see Jack go, but so far we have only improved.

I do have to ask one thing though: Is this official yet? Or are we just jumping the gun based on a tweet, a feeling, a few words in a tabloid, and **** loads of mind reading?

  6. Has anybody got the link to the Daily Mirror where jack Cork leaves/signs?

Anyone? Anyone.....eh? You know.........got the um.........Article...in the Mirror...as they are, you know, in the know..............with everything Saints.......got the .....um ..........article........you know,.........the one after 48 hours ................no?........No-one?

    Strange.

Perhaps I'm wrong. Of Course. They meant 48 hours in working time, which when broken down at 9.5 hours a shift would be 5 days, so no news until tomorrow then.

  7. I would sign Tonny Vilhena anyway, just to show we mean business and to tell him that he's up for sale but only at our price.

I like Jack Cork, and I don't want him to go, but considering where we are, and compared to the others who have found the grass was only painted green, he would be a fool to expect to go to a better club and gte more playing time. So his only choice would be a lower PL or Championship club.

  8. It's not that he used a computer game but Fifa 15.

There's nothing wrong with using Football manager.

And what do you think our 'Black Box ' is?

  9. We are reliant on Pelle for the way we play the ball forward even when he is not scoring.

I agree. Pelle give us more than just goals, he defends, he hits the woodwork alot, and other teams put two players on his and are always watching him as, they make the same assumption that you do, that taking him out of the game means we don't score. But we do as it gives other the chance at goal. His ability to pass the ball on also helps.

But I am selfish in that I would like another striking option, but that ius just me.

I wish Shane a speedy recovery.

  10. Bottom line, we cant/don't compete with wages/big club status. Players will leave for more money/bigger club. On the upside there are plenty of decent players who will play for us on the way up.

At the moment we don't, but based on last and this seasons performance, we can and should start to close the gap. Unfortunatly, success breeds revenue, give you money to assist in buying success. But our whole business model is sustainable, luckily, and means that we are getting there without the risk of the bottom falling out, unlike others we could mention in the recent memory.

  11. I think we should just GIVE HIM away to Spurs.

I did wonder if Roko could redeem him, but alas it seems not.

Unless, of course, he has seen my post and though, 'Fark me. That big bloke in the balaclava and hard hat may have something here. I'm off back to see if some Dutch love can tame by wicked, wild ways.'

I'm more delusional than an Man Utd fan who thinks they are third as Saints don't count.
