Nolan Posted 26 June, 2009 Share Posted 26 June, 2009 (edited) I think a lot of people missed a main point from Lynams post at 4:10 yesterday.... read the underlined bit near the bottom! Dear all Sorry if this is short and to the point. I have made our position very clear in interviews with Sky this afternoon which I assume many may know about. Discussions with the League are on-going and will be resolved. Our commitment and determination is at its highest point now, we know what is at stake. People will speculate as to what is in the draft agreement. The contents are really not relevant - what is relevant, it is unacceptable in its current form, and we're working hard at resolving that, with only one thing in mind, the Clubs best interests at heart. I know that as this has become very public over the last few days, that may appear like some sort of conflict with ourselves and the League. That is not the case, we need to remain composed, focused, and get on with the job. That means putting your head on the block and coming out of comfort zones sometimes, but that's the nature of business. Some will criticise not being fully informed, some will criticise the depth that they have been told of. Sometime in life you have a catch 22 scenario. But I'll take any such criticism on the chin, I won't take being forced to do something which I believe is fundamentally wrong, nor serving the best interests of this Club. And I would like to hope that you all want whats in the best interests of the Club - its a must. I believe in being upfront and open, and this is why I have made it my business to keep everyone from all walks up to date, and I will continue to do so until we close the deal, and beyond. With this in mind, I have asked one of the gentlemen who is putting their hand in their pocket to put his name out in public, and I expect this will happen shortly. Apologies to those who have sent questions to us today, they will be answered in due course, but now is not the time. Best wishes to you all and once again, thank you for your continued support. Tony There is now more than one man behind the money for Pinnacle.... can we stop focussing so much on this Fialka and let Pinnacle get on with it.... aberdare Posted 26 June, 2009 Share Posted 26 June, 2009 A lot of people are assuming this Fialka bloke is the sole person behind this bid. If we are taking Lynam's words at face value he said the following yesterday (in his post at 4:10 pm), that there is now more than one person putting their money towards the club... surely it's time to stop focussing on how much or how little this Fialka bloke has got, realise he is ONE PART of the bid and let pinnacle get on with it. Last week or was it the week before he told us there was only one person, having previously been a larger number. How many is it next week? SO who are the other owners? we could have a similar thread as of last week. Heineken Girl? Rod Stewart? Jeff Stelling? Krusty the Clown?
Alain Perrin Posted 26 June, 2009 Share Posted 26 June, 2009 I think it is Michael Jackson....... Oh hang on.... Why don't you Beat It with your Bad jokes. You should look at the Man in the Mirror before you make jokes like that....
Johnny Bognor Posted 26 June, 2009 Share Posted 26 June, 2009 Why don't you Beat It with your Bad jokes. You should look at the Man in the Mirror before you make jokes like that.... I would lay off the guy, as things are rarely Black or White, a bit like this takeover really.
Shroppie Posted 26 June, 2009 Share Posted 26 June, 2009 (edited) If there is a big money man, it isn't Fialka. My guess is he was put up as a blind to stall. But there is something very wrong about the Pinnacle bid now. Edited 26 June, 2009 by Shroppie
saintstr1 Posted 26 June, 2009 Share Posted 26 June, 2009 To Tony Lynam I am a worldly level headed guy in my Senior years and have fully believed everything about the Pinnacle deal was correct , that was untill yesterday. Yesterday I firmly believe you tried to con us all by wheeling out Fialka. Probably to buy yourself time but I am now seriously doubting the validity of your involvement. According to everything you have said this deal should have been completed before now unless off course you actually cannot complete due to lack of funds. The FL can be fought through the legal system, if needs be after you take control of the club and if as you claim you are being asked to sign documents that are illegal I think you will find they are not worth the paper they are written on anyway . Tony if you are the real deal then you have to complete today and pay the staff etc, that is a minimum requirement at this stage. If as someone suggested yesterday you are only a "Tyre Kicker" then I fear for your future. I am sure MLT will be speaking to his lawyer shortly.
