Colinjb Posted 20 January, 2010 Share Posted 20 January, 2010 Always FM. The latest version of CM is more then decent and is a lot better then previous non-SI CM's, but FM is still the absolute daddy.

SuperMikey Posted 20 January, 2010 Share Posted 20 January, 2010 Football Manager is far superior to any CM that there has ever been, but I still loved playing CM 00/01 back in the day. FM05 revolutionised the way that football managing sims are created nowadays, and the CM creators just haven't been able to keep up.

FM05 revolutionised the way that football managing sims are created nowadays, and the CM creators just haven't been able to keep up. You seem to not know that... Sports Interactive made Championship Manager between 1992-2004 Sports Interactive fell out with game publisher Eidos in 2004 Sports Interactive took the game code and mechanics behind CM and made Football Manager 2005 and FM06, FM07, FM08, FM09 and FM10 Eidos only had the brandname "Championship Manager" left and gave it to developers Beautiful Game Studios to make in 2004. Therefore any CM made after 2004 is NOT related to any CM before 2004. CM started from scratch in 2004. FM10 however has a direct linkage to every CM from 1992-2004 and every FM from 2004-2010 Edited 20 January, 2010 by Matthew Le God

Thorpe-le-Saint Posted 22 January, 2010 Share Posted 22 January, 2010 I was a devout 'FM' player up until this season and then they offered CM for £2 if you downloaded it...I have to say though, CM is still 2nd rate.
