superstevesaints Posted 7 September, 2010 Share Posted 7 September, 2010 I'm interested, but I have a few questions, do you need a licence to drive a boat? How easy is it to launch the boat, say with one person? Do you have to pay to launch it/use the water?
Saint-scooby Posted 8 September, 2010 Author Share Posted 8 September, 2010 No licence required, easy to lauch as its on a full roller trailer, retrieve is easy also. I pay a yearly fee at keyhaven £50. there are places when you dont have to pay. get some insurance for the boat, just in case.....
Marsdinho Posted 8 September, 2010 Share Posted 8 September, 2010 I'm interested, but I have a few questions, do you need a licence to drive a boat? How easy is it to launch the boat, say with one person? Do you have to pay to launch it/use the water? Im not being funny, and I dont want to talk Saint-Scooby out of a sale.... But if you need to ask these questions, im not sure that boat is right for you. Just trying to do you a favour, if its a first time thing, you would probably be better off with something a little less powerful / expensive. Like i say, just trying to help. Sorry Saint-Scooby (although its doing quite well on ebay)
suewhistle Posted 8 September, 2010 Share Posted 8 September, 2010 Marsdinho does have a point. Reminds me of the story of my friends and neighbours sailing over to France and hailed frantically by a couple of Pompey types in a little open boat somewhere Needles way. "Can you give us a jump start?" er no, "Can you give us a tow" - holding up something akin to a short piece of string.. 'Best radio the coastguard' said my friends. You guessed it!... Eventually my friends radioed and gave them a tow until the inshore lifeboat took over and then set off back on course, having missed their tidal gate the other side..
