spyinthesky Posted 11 September, 2010 Share Posted 11 September, 2010 A year or two ago Bournemouth were looking at relegation to non league. Now look at them A month or so ago Pompey were facing the abyss. They can still go for a gutser but their recent signings should see them comfortably achieve mid table. Pre season Saints and Middlesborough were both strong favourites for promotion and now look at us. Things do have a habit of changing quickly in football but at the moment my initial pessimism about our chances for automatic promotion this season seems to be justified. Buggar!! SNSUN Posted 11 September, 2010 Share Posted 11 September, 2010 I preferred it when we were the underdogs. I hate all this "favourites to win the league" crap.
egreog Posted 11 September, 2010 Share Posted 11 September, 2010 I feel this situation will take some time to change......most of the players are AP players and will take time to adjust to new management. I fear unlike most clubs there may not be the "new manager" factor which tends to have an immediate effect on results. It will take time for things to change, and the expectation levels on here will not allow much time!.... I fear for the new incumbent whoever he is
rocknrollman no2 Posted 11 September, 2010 Share Posted 11 September, 2010 Thing is by the time things change for the good, how many more Saints fans will have lost the will to go to anymore games? There are already two of my regular group who have said they are not going anymore. This along with three others who stopped going because of the withdrawal of the installment plan, means Saints need to address this problem sooner, rather than later.
