Wife and i have decided instead buying each other presents for Christmas we are going to get a TV in the sales over Christsmas. Looking at LCD from 32 up to 40 inch max. Not bothered if it comes with HD Freeview as i will upgrade my Sky +. Budget around £400. Any suggestions would be a great help

That Toshiba looks good. Personally I wouldnt touch LG or Samsung, everything ive had from them has been a let down. This Sony is great. £370 from Amazon or £409 from John Lewis is you prefer. http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B003BVI49E/ref=asc_df_B003BVI49E1451595?smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&tag=pr-tv-retail-21&linkCode=asn&creative=22206&creativeASIN=B003BVI49E

Must be plasma for fast moving images, footy etc.

CARP!!!! Modern LCD/LED TV's match or even better those power hungry plasma's. Asda were selling SHARP 32" LED tv's for £399.99 a week ago!! Or try these!! :http://www.bestbuy.co.uk/product/1000130935/philips-32pfl5605h05-32-led-full-hd-1080p-tv.aspx http://www.3pinselectrical.com/cgi-bin/3pins-productView.cgi?prodID=824
