Upholstery & Trimming

Re the leather repair. I recently used a DIY product on a 2cm slit on our sofa, very good results including grain effect. It's a kind of rubberised compound. Might be worth a try before forking out for a pro job?

Colour matching was fairly easy but due to slight natural fading of leather I the repair is noticeable.

I'll check where mrs h bought it if you want.

Thanks Hammy, but the leather has worn through in one patch and gone thin. Not just a straightforward slit. Want to get the central dash bit refurbished as well, which is a painted vinyl - notorious for coming off on these.

Sorry about the 'Hammy' - I remember 'Tales of the River Bank'

Pugsy.

I'm gonna check out the detailing companies that Swanny recommended on the 'respray' thread. It might be a few weeks away but I'll mention the leather and trim subject if you want? Unless of course you find something in the meantime or contact them yourself.

As Swanny said, outpacing on older cars is very much down to your attachment tonsaid vehicle. My old Saab fits me and my driving style perfectly, I can even see over the steering wheelmwothoit the need for a cushion, I have had cars where I actuallly have St on a cushion before, no joke.

Thanks Hammy, the Envy crew at Segensworth aren't too far away from me. Swanny's latest contact could be useful, being recommended by Merc guys (I've got an old SLK). BTW there's a good wheel refurbisher over there if you need one.
