VectisSaint Posted 16 September, 2014 Share Posted 16 September, 2014 Two that I can think of, the Sunderland game he got injured in, and the Spurs home game where he just started hacking at stuff. That's not a bad return from 40-odd matches. 40-odd? He played a total of 31 games for us. He had several more games where he was exposed at times, but either Fonte or Shaw got him out of trouble. He was clearly not a liability, but he was overrated by many people who thought he could do no wrong and ignored the influence of Fonte. He was definitely not the same player after he returned to the team in March. Maybe it was due to getting his balls trodden on. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
