parking for watford

It's in a residential area so if you're there early enough and haven't been there before you can always try what I like to do: Drive to the ground and then head back homewards. Find somewhere convenient on the left-hand side so that you're pointing in the right direction. If you park about a mile from the ground then by the time you reach the car the traffic will have thinned out and you'll be in the clear. I don't know if they have residents' parking now, the only time that I've been there we lost 3-2 and Luis Boa Morte scored for us.

Pass the ground on your left and carry on down Vicarage road, there is a school on your left (5 min walk) that charge to park, easy to get out

You can't go down Vicarage Rd past the stadium on a matchday, you're talking about Laurence Haines school though. They have parking there, they also have parking at Watford Grammar School for Girls, which is the other side of the square-thingy between the stadium side of Vicarage Rd and the other side. Irish Club and the industrial thingys down the other side of Wigenhall Rd also have parking on matchdays.

They do enforce residents parking on matchdays btw.
