Sad news but he had a good innings at 85. Years ago he did a series on TV on various organs. The one I saw was about the lungs. He put a healthy pair of lungs on the counter that were all pink and spongey. He then put a pair of lungs on the counter that had belonged to a smoker. They were all black and looked like lumps of coal. If I had ever considered smoking it never entered my head after that. Thanks Sir Johnathan! He was multi talented and also very funny, some of you oldies might recall Beyond The Fringe?
