Why no game today?

Saints and Norwich are both out of the FA cup so why is the game not being played today?

Surely it would make sense at it would save £ on floodlight use, easier for away fans to travel on a saturday than a tuesday night.

3 weeks ago when both team lost in the FA cup surely the game could have been moved to today? Birmingham and Blackpool did it...

This is football. Common sense has no place here!

Norwich drew and were only knocked out on Tues 13 Jan, so the process couldn't have started till the next morning, maybe too short notice for the police etc (but if they'd have won they would have had a game today so that kind of shoots that theory out of the water )

After the draw at Charlton they could have maybe said if they lose the replay, the home game against us would be played today .... not sure how well that would have gone down though, making plans on the assumption of a defeat at home aginst one of the few teams beneath them ;)

Anyway we'd have probably said No, so that we would have a blank weekend in which to sack our manager :smt037
