SoccerMom Posted 27 January, 2009 Share Posted 27 January, 2009 Just saw the goals on SSN too. Fantastic ball from Lloyd James for Saga's goal. Top draw. His cross is class - and in the reserves he used to take all the corners. Can't do that these days, I suppose...

Maybe we need to find a way for James to take our corners? 9 times out of 10, our corners either go over everyone or we don't beat the first man! Very frustrating. COMEONYOUREDS Posted 27 January, 2009 Share Posted 27 January, 2009 James has a quality cross on him, we need to get to him and holmes out wide as mcuh as possible and get crosses in. Saga is a top player. How many other teams in CCC have a player who's played in the champions league this year, he is our best option by far IMO

SoccerMom Posted 28 January, 2009 Share Posted 28 January, 2009 good cross from james..shame he cant defend though Isn't that the point, though? He never played RB until he came into the first team.
adelaide saint Posted 28 January, 2009 Share Posted 28 January, 2009 Had to leave for work at 7:00am (Aust Time) at which time it was half time and it appeared a 5-0 result was in the offing, pumped to see saga got a run and the lads came back well done Lloyd James who I think has been unnecessarily criticized this season. Honestly its not his fault, just the fact we are devoid of options at RB and he is playing out of position. In the games shown live on TV down in oz he has impressed me with his runs down that right flank, pity it so often leaves us exposed.
bungle Posted 28 January, 2009 Share Posted 28 January, 2009 Well done Saga, for scoring and the delighted reaction. He wants to do well and wants to be here. Just hope we never see him on the bench because DMG is deemed better. Ludicrous decision. Wotte went with a plan to play 4-5-1 and stifle Norwich. Saganowksi, sadly, is not the most mobile of forwards. I can't have a go at him for choosing McGoldrick to start, as he has more pace. Sadly, we played a total of 0 decent balls to McGoldrick in the 1st half, so Alan Shearer could have been up there and it wouldn't have made a jot of difference.
