Seems that every team and their dog have latched onto 'our' song.

Apparently it was originally a Christian hymn in the late 19th Century and it was popularised by Louis Armstrong in 1938 before being adopted up by the NFL's New Orleans Saints and more famously by our fans in the 1950's.

Think we should put a patent on it to prevent use by other lesser clubs.

If we want to reclaim it, and ignoring the fact that it's been sung by most teams my entire life, then what we need to do is sing all of the verses

Oh, when the saints go marching in
Oh, when the saints go marching in
I want to be in that number When the saints go marching in.

Oh, when the drums begin to bang
Oh, when the drums begin to bang
I want to be in that number When the saints go marching in.

Oh, when the stars fall from the sky
Oh, when the stars fall from the sky
I want to be in that number When the saints go marching in.

Oh, when the sun refuse to shine
Oh, when the sun refuse to shine
I want to be in that number When the saints go marching in.

Oh, when the moon turns red with blood
Oh, when the moon turns red with blood
I want to be in that number When the saints go marching in.

Oh, when the trumpet sounds its call
Oh, when the trumpet sounds its call
I want to be in that number When the saints go marching in.

Oh, when the horsemen begin to ride
Oh, when the horsemen begin to ride
I want to be in that number When the saints go marching in.

I imagine by verse 3 some of our Dinlo's would have veered off to singing about Pompey.
