The Fat Controller Posted 7 April, 2009 Share Posted 7 April, 2009 Apparently we have missed a payment to Notts County for McGoldrick as well documented late last week , The FA could sanction a transfer embargo on Saints due to this meaning we cannot buy or SELL any players. Let's hope not
Scummer Posted 7 April, 2009 Share Posted 7 April, 2009 A transfer embargo when we aren't even in a transfer window is the least of our worries.
The Fat Controller Posted 7 April, 2009 Author Share Posted 7 April, 2009 but we could still do pre- window deals with other clubs to raise cash by selling players???? not worried now???
dubai_phil Posted 7 April, 2009 Share Posted 7 April, 2009 but we could still do pre- window deals with other clubs to raise cash by selling players???? not worried now??? No WE cannot. The players will be listed as "assets" Until the administrator has viewed all the actual firm bids and assessed their value and their terms and conditions, he cannot dispose of or make any agreements to dispose of the players. For example IF he decided to pre-contract Lallana to Fulham as rumoured and accept a value of 500k when a consortium valued him at 1mil, it could make his position difficult in regards to maximising value. Mind you it COULD be a problem IF he becomes a liquidator not an administrator or fails to find the cash flow to keep going all week because donations have not been enough, but more likely to be next weeks problem.
