How much notice did they have of who was on the panel? Remember it was all rushed through very quickly at the request of the EFL. All that was said in advance was that it was an independent panel from a company who specialise in these sorts of cases.
-
Worse than that, they were actually recommending that we were thrown out. And then they still gave us more Wembley tickets after they knew the verdict...
-
You've just suggested 2? And it's not general practice for the defence to suggest their own punishment.
-
I think it would be a pretty big deal if it was Ipswich. They only got automatics by one point, if I remember correctly from when Swansea were moaning about us taking Martin, they are still technically a championship club for another few weeks.
-
The point is, if saints feel the rule is stupid and the punishment disproportionate (and we've publicly said as much), then sacking our manager would be equally disproportionate. If we do want to sack him, we've tied ourselves up in a bit of a knot as we can't go down a misconduct route if we don't think it's that serious.

Always worth remembering that these things might have happened even if we went up. Also, just a few months ago with largely the same players we were awful. Things can turn around quickly, just look at Hull who only just stayed up last season, had a transfer ban, yet are now one match away from the Premier League.
-
They should have postponed the semi final as soon as the complaint went in. Then they could have either kicked us out or awarded the first leg as a 3-0 win to Boro (do two legged ties count as one match or two?). They wasted a lot of people's time and money with how they went about this.

That's not too different to this season?

A quick Google says he joined in January, so after Oxford

It's a bit odd that they added more charges on Sunday but didn't tell anyone, not sure what the point of that was
-
It feels as if saints thought they had some kind of plea deal in place. Agree to an expedited process, come clean on other instances, and get a reduced punishment. I can't see how we'd ever have agreed to it otherwise. If the EFL have gone back on that, it could be one of the grounds for appeal.

Does anyone know where the team stayed up there?
-
They are still only on sale to season ticket holders, assuming we've got around 25k of those there was always going to be at least a third of the 36k left at this point
-
Any idea how ticket sales are going?

All I saw was empty cardboard tubes from flares being thrown

Nice touch that the background is pale yellow and blue

Yes, and I've tried going out and in 3 times now... FFS, now my dad is available and I'm greyed out ..
-
Not sure if it was already mentioned, but fair play to our fans for continuing the minute's applause even though we conceded in the middle of it.
-
A lot worse for pubs though, and on the way home the train is usually full when it gets to Woolston
-
Just noticed there are rail replacement buses from Woolston to Central, for anyone arriving from the east
-
He's actually looked surprisingly good for Derby. I think we just massively misused him. He seems to play more the Azaz role for them, not stuck out on the wing
-
We played at Wembley on the same day as the London marathon in 2018, when we lost the semi final against Chelsea.

I especially liked how fussy he was about the correct position of free kicks and throw ins, which both teams would then totally ignore. And giving their player a warning after two fouls, then letting him do several more without ever booking him.
