Maybe a Month

Sorry if this has been posted elsewhere but:-

Listening to Radio Solent this morning, it was stated that the administrator hoped to have a bid on the table in the next 5 - 10 days with any possible take-over happening in about a month. Mark Fry also made a big deal out of the fact that because we were relegated it made our value a lot less. I have been fairly upbeat about this take-over malarky but (and it may be just me) this mornings utterances from Fry seemed distinctly down beat.

Yes I was a bit down beat after his contingency planning yesterday as I felt a buyout was not guaranteed

A buy-out is never guaranteed when a company is in admin.

TBF to Fry he never said he guaranteed to sell the club.

But he DID say he was hopeful

Thorpie is right it is a very complex process, which is why it is like playing Russian Roulette by going into it.

Even IF someone makes a bid there are so many parties that have to agree it.

But Fry hasn't said that he has stopped being hopeful, so I'll stay that way as well.

I can understand the situation, you don't pay top dollar for an inferior product.

I think he said he was optimistic yesterday is that less than hopeful?

Wow, well in that case gotta be worth getting a bottle of bubbly from the booze shop then.

But will wait for "believes everything is on track" or similar before putting it in the fridge

It is going to be a long time waiting

But this was today. As I said in the OP I have been quite upbeat and even excited and optimistic myself but it was just something about the content of todays message that knocked that a bit. After all it has now gone from hoping to announce something before the Forest game to a possible bid in 5-10 days (what happened to us going out of business in 8?) and it could drag on. I hope that it was just my early morning interpretation of things and that all of the big names that are being bandied around can produce a really good buyer for us.
