Everton getting used in the media in my opinion. Players side is pretty clear and quick to mention that Spurs is his ideal destination at every possible opportunity. All well and good Saints trying to quicken it up by saying they have 48 hours but if the player rejects Everton and an offer from Spurs comes in next week it's back on isn't it. PEH isn't going to Everton unless he's had a sudden meltdown in lockdown. Everything he's said and done is about winning the league and playing in the CL. He's not joining a team that we could finish above in a few days time. With a year left on his contract if he doesn't get a move to Spurs this summer, he'll take his chances and wait until next year when he's available on a free and other top clubs will smell a player on a free. If he still cant get a move next year when he's out of contract then maybe he'll pop to Everton but not now. Everton know this as well. Hence they are trying to do it ASAP as it's their best opportunity. Pretty sure Spurs will play the long game to get the price down and would have told PEH to stay patient accordingly.

Which is why JWP is second behind PEH and way out in front of third....oh.

I like the fact that Hypos source seems to think Dave Coles still works at the club. Think I'll take the rest with a pinch of salt.

Only one that fancies our chances then? Leicester are exactly the team we are set up to beat. Confident enough to attempt to play out the back all night allowing ourselves (one of the best teams at winning the ball in opposition half) to press high and create opportunities. There underlying stats show they are there for the taking and are they are no rocks at the back. Give me one fixture to back us to win and I'd choose Leicester at home this season. 2-0 or 3-1.

No. Those two have clearly ****ed Ralph off somehow and have been frozen out. Do you think they are the only ones for sale? There's alot of players in pictures and involved in training that if they get a suitable offer would be gone not just those two.
-
All this waffle because of a couple of pictures. He's off if and he and Saints get suitable offer. Shame really because he's clearly a talent.
-
Isn't him. Hth.
-
No he got MLG'd on Twitter before deleting it and attempting to save face on here. It's old footage from Staplewood which is quite clear from the surroundings tbf.
-
People believed the United being interested nonsense did they? They won't be able to get rid of Pogba let alone want a poorer version.
-
to keep him at Saints?
-
Aaand as if by magic he's gone down to evens to join them. Sky sports news/Sky bet win again. 10m clealry just a figure plucked out if nowhere seconds before the article is posted.
-
I think the tactics of the side at the time aided that slightly. No doubt that this season he surpassed what Sammy G did previously though.

I love it. Can't wait for the carnage and drama.

Won't haunt us at all. Numerous managers now have not rated him enough to get into our team. He needs to play like you said and he'll have to do that away from here. If one day he's some hot shot striker banging them in the PL (Not totally ridiculous tbf, he has potential) then it will be because he's had the opportunity to play somewhere regularly. It won't haunt us because he's not good enough for us now and keeping him is pointless for us and pointless for him. Same with Hesketh, Reed and dare I say it Sims. -
Actually he wouldnt. Hence why he left a big club as a squad player to join us.
-
Not a stupid desicion at all. Neither were in the team and when they were they and we were still ****.
-
Wasn't even that impressive during Koeman days either tbf. There was a period Martina was the better option.

Southampton FC fan base, an embarrassment to the club.

Can't believe people genuinely give a **** what someone else is doing at a football game. That's embarrasing. -
Is it time to give Angus Gunn a run in the PL
Fabrice29 replied to The Fat Controller's topic in The Saints
Why must he be off? Why can't the manager have a look at another keeper, especially when he's highly rated? Where would ge go? McCarthy is decent, a massive step up from Forsters final games for us obviously but lets not over rate him because Forster was so bad. Decent keeper but remember he couldn't get in a Palace team before us. Can't see anyone being interested in him in the PL. Nobody desperately needs a keeper or a second choice keeper and if they did there is one at Burnley who'd be the first choice target. -
Because he's not at all in their plans and they need room to add homegrown players to their squad.

Hasenhuttl to leave if saints get relegated?
Fabrice29 replied to ChiefScummer's topic in The Saints
Far too idealistic. Top notch manager, blame the players blah blah blah. Genuinely have a think about the state of tge fan base if we go down this season. Atmosphere will be toxic and chairman down to the ticket office will be blamed. If we go down it means we've won very little games and we won't be sat there talking about what a top manager we've got. We'd be frothing at the mouth at everyone including him because we'd have to be still be really **** to go down at this stage. The quality in this league is awful at the bottom. It's not hard to get us out of it. This is a easier job than Hughes had last year and he managed to just do it. There's alot more time to get results and impose a style. If we go down we'll have gone another 5 months with bad results and that will simply get him the boot because he even said himself is first job is to get us safe. -

If we get relegated he'll be sacked and everyone on here will be calling for that as well.
