There were no pinstripes on it until after they won all their major trophies.
-
So basically from this we can work out that they were serving approx 1 person per minute. (30-40 people ahead in the queue, 35 mins to get served). If the store was open 11:15 til 5, they'd have served around 345 people. Er, wow, what a massive success.
-
Is it red and white and grey stripes then? Liverpool "Crown Paints" basically the same style, definitely just plain red to every person who ever lived. With some pinstripes.
-
I'd say how many did we sell in 2004/5 and how many of those people last bought one of those?
-
Something I mentioned earlier, online sales used to despatch for the same day and the Megastore is usually open too, so actually it has compressed everyone who wants one and is in the area into one place. No idea what total sales are usually but you're right that it does look more impressive that way.

Very similar to their 1992 Umbro shirt (white shorts).
-
If you think this is striped, then Liverpool played in stripes for some of the 70s and 80s. They didn't.
-
He's ignoring that the Rank Xerox kit was striped... That's 5 years. Sash kit. Maybe claiming the first FP Ajax style one wasn't? Who knows. Hummel Denmark was striped and halved at the same time. Basically as you've said, only the one kit wasn't wasn't at all striped in any way. And the current one is as much stripes as Liverpool have ever worn stripes, which is never.

According to some, Liverpool won the European Cup in red and white stripes, so...
-
Says the man who started with them.

Did anyone find out how much they were charging for shirt printing and Prem badges today, btw. Just interested to see if Saints managed to charge more than JJB and SportsDirect.
-
I think navy shorts and socks would look great. Incidentally we had black, and red, socks before we ever had blue.
-
Honestly, I have probably about 100 football shirts and none of them have ever fallen apart or deteriorated in any significant way, they certainly haven't needed replacing after a year, I've still got ones from 1991 which are in perfect condition that have been worn hundreds of times. That stuff about quality is absolute nonsense.
-
Bit stupid if that's not what will be on his shirt. That overall full kit effect is terrible.
-
I think we just accidentally agreed. I managed to talk the wife out of getting me one today, think I'm sticking to the away kit, ,mmight hoover up a cheap home in April for collection purposes. I'm going to be one of those mongs who wears away shirts to home matches

I have been refusing Lemsip, that's how manly and rugged I am.

£42 short sleeve, £47 long.

If you'd said "Sunday launch" you could have it. As it is I'm just reassessing how many of our fans are just going to buy anything. Genuinely interested in why people would queue, I can see the argument about the kit only going out of date from now and getting the longest shelf life out of it, but... it was probably clear by 1, why not go then?
-
Just to let you know I haven't read this past the 5am thing. Been ill, nothing better to do.
-
I'm just shocked by the Premier League effect, I've been down there on launch day loads of times and there's been no-one around. Assume one of the reasons is because only one store is open so everyone is in one place, and the online sales won't get the shirt out before going to the store. Even so, that's a lot of people buying something they don't like...
-
Um, have you seen the team GB football kits?
-
Sorry, can't give away my sauces. But I've heard it's predominantly red.
-
How about that, I agree with you. I am amazed by that, I've been down there myself before and there's been no-one. In case anyone's wondering, I'm at home eating a bacon sandwich.

Reading are better equipped for the Premier League than Southampton

Pogrebniak is an excellent signing who has already proven he can score goals in the Prem (and is better than Jason Roberts), Rodriguez looks promising but we'll see. Guthrie may have slightly improved our midfield but isn't all that great, McCleary is nothing special. I'd like to think our next two signings will be better than theirs, and their defence will be terrible if Alex Pearce is still in it because he just cannot pass a ball.
