  1. People are in bed. No one will be queueing, I haven't seen a queue on launch day ever without some half baked event going on too.
  2. Someone who works in the Megastore is a friend of a friend on Facebook and has just said they haven't released the numbers yet but they do have some inside info... I'm guessing they know Rodriguez is 9,the others are the same and that's about it! But that's guesswork on my part, he says buy a shirt and they'll tell you!
  3. Even if the red is staying, the kit is changing again in a year because the Umbro deal is ending and It's only ever been for one season anyway.
  4. Dunno, but Glasgow did actually send me a friend request, which made me laugh. Unfortunately I only have people I actually know on my friends list on here, and I have no idea why the purpose of that feature is anyway.
  5. On the bright side, at least the end of season Fancy Dress theme will be easy. Moustache and curly wig.
  6. So you think it's beautiful but want us to change manufacturer? That doesn't make a lot of sense. Also, why Nike? They're producing some really ugly blending effects at the moment, and as the mock Up on here showed, the current Barca template looks awful in red/white. What convictions are these? To change the basic shirt look for no good reason other than a misguided attempt at getting a few more quid? Hardly a commendable , especially as it's likely to sell less unless we target the overseas market in which case anything will sell more and they may as well have gone with a more familiar design.
  7. Where's Flyer with his theory that QPR's kit is unique because Reading's hoops don't go all the way around? They've also gone to the trouble of telling their fans that squad numbers aren't confirmed yet even though you can't buy it until 13th. Also, EIGHT QUID for a pair of Prem sleeve badges? Did they used to be £5 each then? Mildly amused that their away kit is Oxford colours.
  8. Quite like that Sheff Weds one. Will be interested to see if Reading's hoops go right around too... While I'm on here (still ill), just thought I might revise my opinion of the squad numbers being released. I had thought it would be obvious that the club would release the new numbers before shirt printing could begin (11am today), but I've just reread the OS article and it says the print area outside M&S will be there for "names and favourite numbers" which suggests they very well might be planning on doing this without confirming numbers first, which is utter fookwittery.
  9. I didn't mention my thoughts on teaching management, it was you that implied you couldn't teach it. I also didn't say it wasn't there, merely that I hadn't seen it, so your suggestion that I was correcting the previous post was wrong. Though I am this time. I also didn't say I wanted the thread to only be facts. You're terrible at this. As for the website, we can change it, and probably will, so it's hardly restrictive. I'm on here plenty, it's easier to access.
  10. I think I'd be pretty happy with red and white striped shirt, navy shorts and socks, definitely preferable to all red.
  11. Erm, I believe you can learn things on management courses that don't relate to management. As for "I heard the first guy" I didn't see the other response, in fact checking back through I still haven't seen it. It's perfectly possible that the redirect to the Secure URL means it is a separate site. Either way you can link to it directly without the OS and we could probably update it independently. Especially as we're sponsored by a Web solutions company.
  12. Because we haven't worn that in the lifetime of the majority of Saints fans I'm guessing.
  13. You can have a nominated 3rd kit for a couple of games, there's no problem with that. They will have told the Prem, yeah.
  14. Yup, if we don't have a third shirt. Obviously if we have one of those as well, then we only have to wear the home kit as few as 3 times. We'll know by the start of the season anyway, PremierLeague.com lists the registered kits when agreed and that Handbook will be online for 2012/13 at some point.
  15. I went on a management course where I was told that everyone's number 2 driver is the need to be right, I'm not alone. Anyway, who else is interested enough to look into all this crap ? What's wrong with answering questions with facts rather than ill-informed opinion ? They'd get a percentage, but without the figures it's difficult to know if a smaller percentage of far bigger sales is better than a large percentage of a smaller number of sales. The way we do it, we're losing out on floating kit purchases and impulse buys in stores - no idea which would be the best approach without the figures though. Red Sox are owned by Liverpool's owner aren't they ? Judging by the number of Warrior Liverpool shirts in stores they have a deal independent of their manufacturer as well, they're every bit as widespread as when they had adidas shirts. No idea if the Saints Online store is run by the FL store people, it's a secure site with a different URL so might be run separately - I'd suspect that if we suddenly got popular worldwide, it would be manually getting the volumes sent out that would be the bit we'd struggle with.
  16. That was me guessing that we'd need a third kit if we had the kits we now do have - hence all the stuff about me saying "they're reducing the yellow kit, looks like the away won't be white then because we'd be using it for a third and wouldn't have reduced it if it was still in use". Which turned out to be an incorrect assumption.
  17. Nope, there's a maximum limit of 8 matches each for away/third kits (with the rider that if the ref says there's a clash, you change and that counts towards the total). The fines are only about £300 each time anyway ! "22. Players of the Visiting Club may wear its away Strip or third Strip when playing in League Matches provided that they shall not do so on more than 8 occasions in any Season, including those occasions, if any, when required to do so by virtue of the foregoing provisions of Rule F.21. For the avoidance of doubt, nothing in this Rule shall limit the number of occasions a Club may be required to change its Strip pursuant to Rule F.21." Third Strip 25. Each Club may have a third Strip in addition to its home Strip and its away Strip. 26. The provisions of Rules F.14, F.15 and F.16 shall apply to any third Strip as well as to home Strip and away Strip. Just spotted this too, which is how the clash issue will be resolved in practice : 23. At least 7 days prior to each League Match the Visiting Club shall notify the Home Club on Form 9A of the Strip it intends its Players (including for the avoidance of doubt its goalkeeper) to wear. If the Home Club is of the opinion that this is likely to cause confusion it shall immediately notify the League.
  18. They're not responsible for telling us we have to have a 3rd kit and can't tell us we have to have one if we don't propose one. But there's obviously a process of identifying clashes that might raise it as an issue to be resolved somehow within the existing process, it would be naive to think they couldn't suggest very strongly that we don't turn up with two clashing kits on the day and force Stoke's arm !
  19. Tch, I already posted them in this thread, what do you mean you didn't learn them. Basically you are allowed to have either 2 or 3 kits, and don't have to have a third kit. You can't wear either the away or 3rd more than 8 times in a season, and it has to be approved by the Prem prior to the season. Though there are a couple of loopholes, being that the ref's decision is final, and there's also an exception for new kits for the last match.
  20. Oh, and here's the link (2011/12 as I said) for the g33ks : http://www.premierleague.com/content/dam/premierleague/site-content/News/publications/handbooks/premier-league-handbook-2011-12.pdf
  21. I would point out that that's from last season's Premier League Handbook though, although as it contains all of the kit colours, which is strange as the clubs need to abide by the rules in order to get the kits registered in the same document, but anyway... ...I'm sure we'd have heard if Nicola had got the rules of the competition changed so that we got to wear the same colour as the home team in Stoke, or something.
  22. Huh ? Oh, right, I get it.
  23. He doesn't. "Not later than 4 weeks before the commencement of each Season each Club shall register its Strips by submitting to the Secretary Form 9 together with samples of its home Strip, away Strip and goalkeeper’s Strip complying with these Rules and a brief written description of each and the Secretary having entered the descriptions in a register will cause the same to be printed in the handbook of the League." So still another fortnight before we even have to confirm the kits. 19. Subject to Rule F.20, Strips of the description thus registered shall be worn throughout the Season immediately following and no changes to it shall be made except with the prior written permission of the Board. 21. Subject to Rules F.20 and F.22, when playing in League Matches the Players of each participating Club shall wear its home Strip unless the home Strips of the participating Clubs are alike or similar or are in the opinion of the referee likely to cause confusion in which event Players of the Visiting Club shall wear its away Strip, third Strip or a combination of its home Strip, away Strip and its third Strip. In the event of any dispute with regard to the Strip to be worn by either Club, the referee’s decision shall be final 24. Subject to Rule F.20, no Club shall participate in a League Match wearing Strip other than its registered home Strip or away Strip or third Strip or a combination of the three except with the prior written consent of the Board.
  24. We're going to wear a third kit of some sort at Stoke or we're going to wear their away kit and look like a bunch of idiots, basically.
