  1. Sort of. The Prem committee will take the proposed kits from the clubs by a certain date and then they'll look at each match and advise on clashes, but they have to have a third kit proposed in the first place to be able to agree to its use.
  2. I like to supply accurate information. It's certainly a hangover from the Lowe days, and the appearance of some 125th Anniversary stuff in SportsDirect a few months later suggests Cortese's probably keen to diversify - though I don't expect he'd have a problem with Saints' online store being the only place Asian fans are going to be able to get their kits from and not getting into price competition with JJB etc.
  3. The blue is significant in that Bolton kit, whilst our options are red or white shorts. The Stoke kit is all white with some red stripes and using red shorts and socks with a white shirt clearly would not sort the problem. If we need a third shirt for ONE match, which we definitely do, then we may as well use it for another/others. There is CLEARLY a clash with Stoke which will necessitate some faffery, the wearing of away kits at home or a third kit. And I'm not even sure Stoke's blue/red is THAT much different from our red shirt either, though the blue shorts/socks help. You're also pretty confident we won't clash with a team that hasn't released their kit yet.
  4. That was last year's kit though, why would you assume they weren't going to completely change the colour of their kit, I mean we have ? They've also changed manufacturer to adidas, so you can pretty much guarantee what their kit will look like now if they do stick to red/white with black shorts and red socks. The important bit will be the colour of the back of the shirts, because if it's predominantly white, we couldn't wear white, and we won't be able to wear red there anyway. We will either wear last season's yellow or a new (I'm guessing black) third kit, which knowing how crap they are at this stuff, they probably won't even sell. Will be interesting to see if we follow the Prem's rules and if the Prem website lists a third kit for us, as they'll have to announce it pre-season to meet their rules (see earlier in this thread).
  5. Not like delldays to mention Saints fans moaning. Seriously, I've seen you post it on about 4 different occasions this week alone. WE GET IT. EDIT : Oops, there's another whinge about it in this thread, make that 5.
  6. Is 15% "much" then ?
  7. Based on this season's it'll soon look pink, but as pink on the 2011/12 shirt is visible through the logo in stripes, it's actually the thickness of the sponsor logo being eroded, not the colour running.
  8. Can I suggest if you're going to do screenplays that you use the free stuff here http://www.xtranormal.com/ to make them more accessible ? You can use the comedy italian voice for Cortese, I've already tried it and it works well.
  9. Going round in circles with every argument now. No it is not stripes, Liverpool didn't play in stripes in 1981. Yes we have worn non-striped kits before, for around 15% of our existence. Yes the sash kit wasn't striped - it was also an appropriate commemorative one-off 125 Kit based in actual club history. Yes we will need another kit at Stoke and possibly Sunderland (kit not released but far less white than Stoke usually). Shirts at West Quay store from 11am tomorrow, numbers printed outside M&S, but probably cheaper in JJB or SportsDirect anyway. Oh and also, yes people can get annoyed about the kit.
  10. I was wondering that - she did mention promotional material rather than kit launch though. Or they could have just canned her shots.
  11. One thing I will say is that the actual kit in that close up has the pinstripe colours the other way around to the "preview" pic I saw before launch, which had the grey stripe on the left (as you look at it) of the pair.
  12. We know it's two, it's the same as Sweden's. For those saying "still red and white stripes", no actually it's red and grey and white stripes in that case.
  13. Blame the club, they won't let anyone else sell them. JJB and SportsDirect in West Quay, probably £10 for number and name. Also, Prem sleeved patches are £5 there, and you've ALWAYS had to pay extra.
  14. None, but there are only 4 Umbro teams in England now, and it's identical to Sweden's home kit except colours and collar.
  15. We shall see. All of the feedback I've seen so far is people saying they don't like the home kit but do like the away one - plus Saints have worn predominantly white for the last 3 years.
  16. There's no way of making that point without being pedantic, but having just read their thread there are about 100 other things they need picking up on before that anyway - starting with the use of the "word" "anarl".
  17. It's a discussion about the Saints' football kit on a thread about the football kit in a forum about Saints, why is it so difficult to understand that people will have opinions and want to express them here?
  18. Finding it very strange that people saying the sash kit was a massive seller is justification for changing the stripes all the time - the main selling point of that was that it was a 125th Anniversary shirt (not a Centenary...) and had links to the kit from 125 years before. It had justification, history and legitimacy. It was also popular because it was a ONE-OFF change from stripes. Repeating that experiment without any rationale other than "we think it will sell more than stripes because people already have stripes" is fundamentally flawed, and I'm pretty sure sales figures will reflect that. Almost certain that the away will outsell the home.
  19. Actually, the club has thought of this, they're setting up a shirt printing area near M&S in West Quay just so people don't take their shirt printing needs elsewhere. It remains to be seen if they're still going to charge £12 when JJB and Sports direct both do it for a tenner.
  20. Sweden got theirs first, but why didn't they say "I hear they like a nice broad white stripe..."?
  21. Just a little recap for anyone who didn't want to bother with the first 42 pages.
  22. I bet they're all thinking "it's crap" too. Or at least 50% of them judging by the poll. "Sorry" about the 4 recaps, the wife was watching Sex In The City the movie, it's well over 2 hours long and I had to find something to do. Just wondering, are the other images (Tadanari Lee, etc) from Saints twitter or Official FB ?
  23. Honestly, I'm not bothered !
  24. Aaaand this gets us up to the launch at 6pm (which was on page 32 !)
  25. This took us up to the day before yesterday...
