Hah, surely not, seeing as it's completely freely available everywhere else in the country for 70 days, including outside the stadium immediately before and immediately after ? The scrambling to reduce prices and package up matches says they're expecting a few thousand at most, and are desperate to sell tickets. How did you manage to book your exact seat then ? Maybe they've changed the system since ?

More than that, that Rangers didn't owe any significant money to football creditors.

Ah, I've been in the gym and now run at 5-a-side. And she's shaved her beard.
-
If they can get to the top 6 of the Premier League within 4 or 5 years I don't see why we can't.
-
Amusingly Rangers' new kit this season also has red socks rather than their more recent black/red ones, they couldn't look more like them if they tried. Although of course the Skates don't actually have a kit for next season at the moment because they can't pay for it.
-
My "get out clause" is that I've been told what I've seen is the new kit by someone with solid credentials and who has been ITK previously, and it ties in with what the model they booked for the promo pictures described it as. Other than that, I don't know any more than anyone else. Seems unlikely that they'd create mock-ups AND then go to the trouble of getting some bimmer to blab a little bit about it on twitter just to surprise people on the launch day... though as I'm still a tiny bit hopeful it won't be the thing I've seen I could happily accommodate being misled if we end up with a better kit.
-
Yes, though you can't buy it until 14th July. "It's white" but is not the reverse of the home, according to Amanda Rushforth, who we're expecting to be modelling it in some promo pictures somewhere.
-
Actually I've had two crappy nights of sleep, but that's because I'm ill, nothing to do with the kit. Also, if I already think I know what it looks like, what's there to get excited about ? It IS just a football kit after all, and I'll get it eventually anyway as I collect them.
-
No guarantee it is right until the club unveil it though, is there?

Unveiled today at 6pm, on sale at West Quay from Sunday at 11am and in the Megastore from 9am Monday.

I still think a lot will hinge on the colour of the shorts and socks for the overall "Saints" look. Conventionally that would be black shorts and white socks, but we haven't actually worn predominantly white socks with the home kit since Umbro took over (red white hoops first 2 seasons, then black with 125 kit, then red last season). I'd be surprised if having decided on a red kit "because everyone's already got a striped one", that they churn out another pair of plain black shorts for the 5th year in succession (we had black shorts with the away kit in the 125 season), but then I'm already surprised we're not using stripes, so who knows what they've got planned? FWIW I think the same template with red/white stripes and black pinstripes would look excellent and would make a whole lot more sense. I can only hope the leak I've been banging on about for 2 months is wrong !

Nice find. The kit looks terrible, but then it's not likely to have been made to any kind of high spec for a one-off. Aside from that I don't think I like the quarters much. I actually prefer this (the left one), which is just as well... :

No, but whilst searching I found a thread from 2008 in which I said http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?1478-My-idea-for-a-new-Southampton-badge&p=47234#post47234 I've changed my mind about the navy now though.

I fully expect a new thread or 6 to spring up around 6pm today with a load of people who haven't been bothered enough about what the new kit looks like so far to look in this thread all going mental about how terrible it is and doesn't look like Saints, etc. This will then get locked as a duplicate (like last year) and no-one who's already been on here will get to actually discuss it with hindsight. That mildly irked me last year... At least you won't have me posting updates from the Liebherr Cup at St Mary's about the training kit and the shorts and socks the players are warming up in, this season.

Everybody except the welsh...

About 2/3rds of it, but not the offices...

Or alternatively, that they can stockpile anyone who might have turned out decent with a few first team matches at the right time, and smother their ability until they emerge as an inferior player, who's not a threat to the world stars they've signed up, when they let them go.
-
They already are, with the homegrown rule.

And Gretna, for a while. And Cardiff, Swansea, Newport, Wrexham, Merthyr Town, Colwyn Bay, former Welsh Premier League Champions TNS whose ground is in Oswestry (http://www.saints-alive.co.uk/index.php/club-information/the-venue), Guernsey in the Combined Counties League, San Marinese teams in the Italian pyramid, Andorran sides in the Spanish Leagues, and probably many many more. Any club anywhere in the EU has the right to play in any other nation's league and there's nothing much UEFA can do about it. It's only really convenience and history that prevent stuff like the mooted superleague for Scotland, Netherlands and Scandinavian teams a few years ago. Also, UEFA can't really complain about it for as long as Asian countries like Israel and Azerbaijan are part of UEFA...
-
I wasn't talking to you, I was talking to "rog", who is clearly ITK about this season's kit.
-
I love it when people who aren't remotely interested in a subject feel the need to come on threads and tell everyone who's discussing it that it's pointless. It's a bloody football forum FFS, of COURSE it's pointless...
-
Um, no, but getting massively upset about it and chucking insults about because of it would be, they would be the weirdos.
-
How would you feel if we didn't have a red and white striped shirt ?
