  1. Because Cedric wouldn't accept that and would be a disruptive influence in the dressing room?
  2. Lemina - 17/18 - Already with us 16/17 - missed four games with inflammation and one with flu, but otherwise available 15/16 - missed seven games with inflammation but otherwise available https://www.transfermarkt.com/mario-lemina/leistungsdaten/spieler/170934/plus/0?saison=2016
  3. Was Lemina's problem injuries or just not getting into a strong Juventus team though? Also Ings had two long term injuries and medical tests showed that he was clear of these, so I'm not sure whether we could have predicted the spate of smaller injuries that he now seems to be prone to
  4. Wolves are like us - they can't break down defensive teams that sit deep, and are better against better teams
  5. Thanks. So at the risk of stating the obvious, Cardiff are on trend to finish with -38. They can't stay up with that surely
  6. Anyone know the worst goal difference a team has stayed up with in the premier League? Cardiff are currently on -27 from 27 games
  7. Perfect time to play West Ham and Bournemouth with both likely to be in mid table obscurity. I back us to get 4 points from that
  8. It wasn't his fault on this occasion. I'm sure that will come though
  9. Arms do go up when you jump but Stephens' still seemed in an odd position. And I'm not convinced it was due to pursue from crouch
  10. It wasn't that similar because crouch was going for goal. Long had no such intentions. Initially he seemed to be looking towards the corner but decided he couldn't make it so tried to hold it up instead
  11. No player is ever going to take a pay cut. If we're serious about getting rid then we'd have to subsidise his wages. It feels like we're not really serious about getting rid
  12. Someone did say on here that Charlie can't train like others because of his dodgy knees. So not sure it's fair to use the fitness thing. Other libellous allegations i have no idea about. Wanting to stay and fight for his place is pretty commendable actually.
  13. Looks quality
  14. I believe his dodgy knees don't allow him to train properly
  15. It was massively noticeable that Yoshi was suddenly back in the team when Reed left
  16. Here's another one for the strategic plan. Don't worry if players smoke because Vialli was still good. Keep all young players until 24 because Kane developed late
  17. Vardy has said that Puel's style of play doesn't suit him. I know it's hard to imagine that Puel would stifle an attacking player, but...
  18. Thoughts with Fraser if true. Hope he can turn things around and stick it to the forum experts
  19. I think Hughes can take some credit for encouraging him to play positively and not worry if things don't come off. Pellegrino had him afraid to do anything except play the simple ball. Now Ralph is giving him the tactical instruction to take him to the next level
  20. The way he celebrated that goal in front of Pellegrino was pretty unacceptable. Its not a stretch to believe that there has been other stuff behind the scenes that we don't know about
  21. We've supposedly been following Joe Aribo from Charlton, but facing a lot of competition https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/transfers/joe-aribo-charlton-athletic-transfer-news-bundeliga-move-frankfurt-benfica-latest-a8681186.html
  22. They did want him, but agreed to let him go if he could find a club because he wanted first team football.
  23. The spurs game was the first time I've seen him play in a while and his lack of pace was absolutely glaring. He is never going to be a premier league player
  24. Any news on whether Ings trained?
  25. At that time we needed someone to come in try to give the players some confidence, get them attacking and taking risks, even if that meant being more ropey at the back. Hughes had some success in doing this. A more defensive coach might not have kept us up. Unfortunately Hughes' inability to coach a defence / tactics in general means he wasn't a long term solution in the end, although I thought he deserved a chance based on his track record of mid table finishes at various clubs
