  1. emotions are running very high at the moment , you could sense in the concourse before the game how important this game was.
  2. exactly the players are played out of position, in a system that works away but has been a dismal failure at home.
  3. totally agree the funniest thing( and if you did not laugh) was when he took Perry off the reaction and look on the players faces no one knew what to do.
  4. NOTHING to do with bad luck, we missed chance after chance. we have wingers playing on the wrong side of the pitch so when chances fall to them they hit the corner flag. a manager who goes from the blind to the ridiculous , he paniced when they scored and handed the game to Donny who were awful in the first half. you have to have been there to understand, frankly after 48 years of going to games i am fed up of leaving every home game early because of the managers mistakes, and finally if it had nt been for KD we would have been behind at half time, whereas their keeper only had to watch our efforts in the first half , he only made his first save when we were one down
  5. boll**ks we lost because we have a manager who knows nothing about british football and a chairman who thinks he KNOWS EVERYTHING about british football
  6. Not even sure if Rupert was there. Left when the second went in back home by 5.10 attempted pitch invasion eldest son has had enough me , only going because i have paid thank you Guy

  8. TOMORROW Live each days as it comes
  9. I suspect that most home defeats in english football are one nil because once teams get in front they tend to shut up shop. Anyone who has seen the home defeats will tell you we were lucky on most occasions to only lose by one
  10. not bad afterall more than 50% of this forum will probably not be there
  11. hope that was not being negative because the ALWAYS POSITIVE police will be after you
  12. Head and Heart job again but imo for once both saying the same 2-0 Saints Now Nurse where is that straight Jacket
  13. i personally will be over the moon as they say , i want us to win every week but imo another home defeat to Donny will be the last straw for many
  14. so will i and i will be home early for my tea
  15. be if we go 2 down tomorrow?
  16. As the youth football club i help run are members of a thing called Team Saints, we have just been notified by the club of 2 games in the next 2 months where cheap tickets will be available for kids . I cannot remember which games but think Swansea was one
  17. blimey i thought i had logged on to the Economist
  18. looking at wages as a percentage of turnover on its own can give a distorted view of a clubs finances, the real percentage to look at is wages plus fixed stadium costs(ie rent, mortgage and council tax) as a percentage of turnover. If you own your stadium you can afford to invest more in wages without crippling the finances
  19. at home you have to pass it forward and take the game to the opposition rather than hit them on the break. Our big problem is that our defence is not good enough to stand on its own so we pack midfield to protect it
  20. common sense
  21. Agreed but i am also not happy with the cowardly way we are going about off loading him. Respective of the money he is on , if the club were responsible for leaking his contract details it shows how low we have sunk.
  22. got a top father in law who also used to drink in The Castle
  23. Got to know Peter Wells pretty well in his time with the club. He used to come into The Castle pub at Midanbury on a Sunday night with a guy called Tony Connolly who lived next door to Pete. I knew Tony because i had lived next door to him in Hinkler Road up to when we were both 11 in 65. Peter knew i went to away games on a regular basis, using all modes of transport from persil train vouchers, coach or car and offered to get myself and a guy called Chris Biddiscombe (sadly died a few years back) complimentary tickets. So first time we found our self sat with Chris Nichol's Dad and other family relatives. What was great about Pete was he never forgot his roots or us , even to the point of getting told of for waiting at the players entrance at Old Trafford to give us our tickets. He always said he knew we would go anyway so if he had freebies he might as well give them to real fans. I expect Sundance will called me a sponger but who cares
