  1. Worth it though
  2. NO one cared , still get a buzz from it . The Skates were chanting " Scummers Scummers here we come" and we were all thinking about what the parks and hill lane would be like for the replay when Steve Moran pops it in, WHAT A DAY
  3. I am intriged
  4. i am English, just like Jocks are Scottish , Taffs Welsh and Paddys Irish. Ask a Swansea fan on Saturday if they are Welsh or British ?
  5. Alpine should seek him out
  6. thing is owners of busineeses all over the country are putting their own money into their businesses at the moment to keep them a float, either by cash or guaranteeing overdraft facilities by securing their homes agains the debt. Why should SLH BE DIFFERENT it is basically a private company controlled and owned by 10 people
  7. if they have drastically improved the position why are they still pleading poverty and as far as i am aware Barclays had reached a deal with Crouch before he was removed by Lowe/Wilde
  8. So why can we afford to turn down Crouch's money ?
  9. It will be interesting to see what happens because if we are in the financial meltdown that is being pictured from SMS then surely this will happen and Rupert/Michael will step down due to Barclays pressure. However if Rupert has been spinning the financial position to justify following his vision as to how the club should be run then nothing will happen and we can assume that money is not quite as tight as we were led to believe

  12. another stupid offer or idea. i am struggling to believe anyone would clear an overdraft and leave rupert/wilde with their shares or for that matter leave Guy, Mike times 2 , and Clive with their shares because they will still be in a position to stab Crouch in the back. Weird
  13. does not have to be a real leader UM. Anyone who works in the private sector has to do budgets for both sides of the equation, public sector you just budget on how you spend an allotted amount of money. Problem is until relegation Rupert was like a council leader , Sky told him how much he had coming in , he just decided how to spend it with the bonus of gate money on top which could be used to fund the extras
  14. must be the younger generation we had plenty of imagination in the 60's and 70's well i think it was imagination
  15. but by creditor i assume you mean the bank. they in my experience they would ask for a package of measures not just aimed at cutting costs but also focusing on increasing income.imo it is this area that the current 4 directors have been completly devoid of any alternative ideas.
  16. More important who is the kit man and who makes the tea
  17. not sure their was much public blamimg of Crouch during his reign, Rupert is just not liked by the majority in this city, whether he is at fault or not.
  18. I suppose the easy answer would be for him to go, thus removing the reason people blame him for everything.
  19. but he kept trying and imo his blocks along with Dodd were nearly important as MLT's goals in keeping us up.
  20. tough one seems to me that the level of vocal support is directly proportional to the level of achievement on the pitch. do well every one sings OWTSGMI, STRUGGLE down to the young or supporters from the 60's to 80's. The original thread mentioned Benali , the club needs a cult hero not necessarily a great passer etc but a blo*dy trier who gives his all even if he makes the occasional **** up Individual circumstances change, i used to stand on the Archers with my 9 year old , 12 years ago, then i was diagnosed with leukaemia and i could not physically stand for that long, so the club let us move to the Milton , i just learnt to sing sitting down and jump up for goals etc.
  21. why it would be nice to see that they were prepared to visible show their support for the man who they have given the job of keeping the club in the ccc
  22. he could earn a lot of brownie points if he said " we have played badly, been naive with our tactics and not learned from our mistakes" but those days are behind us "give me a chance and let the results speak for me"
  23. on ruperts lap top , he took it on his hols
  24. free to pick my team and do what i want last sentence heres hoping
  25. Dyer and Monk now where have i heard those names before
