Not sure how good he would have been , but he was a dam site better than the dutch duo and he gave me a 50th birthday present when we beat Man City away, one of the better away days in the last 5 years

The chairman of this business has constantly abused the customer.supporters over his period in charge and then trys to divert the blame to those people.
-
it is the word "fairly2 which is the worry
-
SLH wanted us to be customers and now they complain because some act as customers unreal !
-
same mistakes still being made by rupert, Peckhart, Robertson, Pullis, Gasmi, Fortune the list is endless why do we not get , players who will improve first 11 not just squad players nothing to do with money just poor use of what we have
-
hope it was not Nineteen or his son

Lowe or Barclays ? Who's running the show ??
70's Mike replied to SaintRichmond's topic in The Saints
Sort of agree but makes you wonder why ALL thre major share holding groups were against the SISU offer. I still believe that Jacksons Farm land is the key, i was told by a Banker in London a few weeks back that the government were going to amend building law so that house building could stimulate the economy and that it had been being discussed behind the scenes in Whitehall for a few years. -
wonder who upset his son , maybe it was Crouch shouting "we want rupert out"
-
I know they only drew to day, but you look at the mix of experience with youth at Leicester and realise what a MISTAKE rupert made. I still believe we can get out of it but NOT with the current way of thinking at SMS we need a big old fashioned centre forward who can finish , not a team of circus jugglers

others have given you your answer before i read your reply and as they have said you are talking rubbish and not reflecting what happened at the Doncaster game. It would be interesting to know where you were sitting for that game
-
We were already 2 down before the Doncaster protests started , and sounds like your son suffered like you did as a young man Sundance if i remember one of your very early posts.

I wonder how much we have paid in Wages, Agents Fees etc for Robertson, Peckhart, Gasmi, Pullis, Fortune and god knows whoelse this season. It is easy to blame lack of money BUT perhaps we should concentrate on how we have spent what we had. Rupert called us customers , pushed our loyalty , he still thinks season tickets holders are going to hand over another £70 to watch a game for a free meal, and the customers have walked away

As i drove away from SMS on Tuesday night i thought why do i bother, saw my first game in 1960 during the 70's and early 80's saw virtually every game home and away AND the club belonged to the people of Southampton. Over the last 15 years, for lots of reasons, that has changed Sky money and life in general.Political correctness means you are not allowed to be proud of your city. In 97 the club was sold but not sold , we had virtually the same owners with 2 new ones, who by a trick of accountancy still owned the business , boosted THEIR own wealth but really added nothing in real terms to the clubs finances. Sky gave them money to run the business and they started a slow , i am sure it was not a policy, program of assuming they did not really need the fans or our money because we were always going to be loyal. By and large that was the case whilst we stayed in the top flight but relegation changed all of that, the errosion of fan loyalty was irreversible and still today they insult us with offers like "pay £70 extra for a game , even though you have already paid, and get a meal" BIG DEAL. We had 2 years where a sort of feel good factor returned problem was that Wilde and Crouch gave the impression of not being able to run a pi** up in a brewery. Rupert returned with a policy of playing Academy players to early and filling our ranks with loads of players on the off chance we got it right , a bit like the policy from 2003. We have won one home league game ALL SEASON, and that combined with the crap off the field for the last 11 years has led the club to the verge of destruction and the thing that really hurts most is THAT I HAVE NEARLY STOPPED CARING
-
see he has retracted part of his comments, he should not have called Gordon , Scottish or one eyed, BUT he is still an idiot
-
i thought the thread was about a dutch center forward , who knew where the goal was
-
17000 made up of 13500 saints and 3500 swansea. what planet is he from ?
-
oerhaps the club would prefer it if we were not going to sms, afterall Sundance says they can do without us. maybe the boycotters are right
-
2003 repeats itself
-
we would still have struggled to score
-
Totally agree BUT unless they do something radical the club is going down , with crowds of less that 15000 becoming the norm, in fact the only thing likly to save us financially is the fact that most of the sides due at SMS in the coming weeks will sell out their tickets
-
was it five or SEVEN
-
Problem was Woodward wanted 15 players on the pitch at the same time , it was a radical idea to ensure success
-
This constant blaming of the fans , at the same time as a sort of rallying call , is having the totally opposite effect to what rupert, sorry Wotte, wants. When will they realise that if they came out and said, " we tried a new approach it has obviously not worked, we ackowledge that the fans who have attend games both home and away have given great support and we are sorry, please get behind us as we try and get out of this hole" They might just get a more positive response
-
now remind me whose policy is that ?
