  1. that some burn
  2. we battered Watford last week. You mean score a hat full though, right?
  3. boom. on his swinger too.
  4. shame. He's been playing well. Lets see if Stuart can find some form.
  5. you are kidding, right? You expect a 3-0 win? I'd only ever expect a 3-0 win from Saints if we were playing league 1, maybe even 2 opposition. As always, I hope for win, think we might be slight favourites, but expect nothing. It will be a very tough game.
  6. I don't see Diallo moving the ball all that much quicker or forward a great deal more than JWP. Both are water carrying crabs. That's their role by and large. Big difference is Diallo can actually dribble, while JWP can ping a dead ball. I think (hope) we have yet to see the best of Diallo. I think last two seasons have been peak JWP.
  7. Saints wise, Colin Clarke immediately sprung to mind, but not even sure he came alive. Definitely a fat bloke waddling about. The `do fuck all but put the ball in the back of the net' description made me think of Robbie Fowler for some reason, can't recall if he had an all round game or not, but the king of all poachers in the modern game has to have been Filippo Inzaghi.
  8. he has an excellent first touch, which enables him to play CM in a Prem side. Don't underestimate that. Mis-control and lose the ball in that area and you are royally fucked. It's great we have three players fighting it out for two shirts. Diallo will get his chance.
  9. if he was here a month, I'd agree, but he is here for an entire season. Are you really worried about our 2022/23 or 2023/24 season? They are all part of our squad. All Saints players. How they are contracted and for how long is not our concern. Come April and we are safe, then picking players that will be here next season makes sense, but let's get safe first shall we? He isn't actually blocking their path long term. He is the better choice at this time. If he doesn't sign in the summer then their path will become clear again. By then Armstrong will have a Prem season under his belt, all be it maybe not 38 starts and Che has had three seasons to make the position his own - its up to him to force the managers hand.
  10. We need to learn from that incident. Romeu was done for pace, we were short handed and fractionally better play from Watford and it would have been a much more straight forward chance. Cant remember of it was our own set piece or not, but that is certainly when we are vulnerable. Every time I see it happen I question the manager, the analysis that I assume happens, and the tactics put in place.
  11. better than Watford anyway.
  12. not to mention creating chances for himself with his quick feet and dribbles. He looks a decent player to me. He knows where the net is. It will come.
  13. Good point. and Sarr caused Salisu problems with his pace. The Perraud signing has not worked so far. Hope he can improve. Not sure he offers the quality we need.
  14. So many good performances. Redmond had a very good game again. Livramento too. Like Salisu bullying forwards and taking the yellow wen needed. Up front, we dint take the chances but we created them, which is encouraging. Credit to McCarthy. That save at the end looked a worldie. He keeps making them Bpsaint 😉
  15. Fantastic performance. Ran the game from start to finish, but the save from McCarthy was a match winner. Tremendous stuff.
  16. what the fuck is stu doing there...
  17. what. a. save. who was it during the week telling me that McCarthy hasn't made any great saves. One right there.
  18. could not agree more.
  19. bloody nervous now. Played so well here. Got to get those three points.
  20. fresh legs in the middle. Like that idea. Maybe could do with some up front too.
  21. great workrate STU
  22. shit from Stu. Love what he does, but giving the ball away cheaply is something he needs to improve
  23. good plat again by Armstrong. Really like his dribbling skills.
  24. not enough pressure on the crosser. Midfield need to work a tad harder defensively.
  25. better corners from JWP there. I was about to say get Redmond back on the job.
