Oh dear. MLG's little world just caved in.
-
It's barely red and white, which is kind of everyone else's point.
-
I'm with you. Shi te pointless tournament, a completely contrived team with a terrible coach in charge. Beckham should be there. Frankly that was the only interesting thing about the team.
-
Agree with this. Someone said it was inspirational earlier - it aint - but by the same token it isn't unispiring either. Just a kit.
-
Say what you see. Well done.
-
Which one? I'm on my phone. Our kit is all red, shorts and socks (white band on sock, granted).
-
I"d agree with this too. We've gone for all red which I dont think we've ever been and really doesn't feel like us. I like black shorts and white socks. I think people need to stop saying its red and white stripes. Like it or not, It's all red. Liverpool didn't where 'stripes' when they had that same kit in the eighties. Pinstripes are barely stripes and on the pitch and on TV we're going to be all red. Oh well. We'll get used to it.
-
Hilarious. People like you are getting far more agitated about those people not liking it than people who don't like the shirt. Calm down you nutcase.
-
Well done the lamest provaction yet. This isn't 1896. And seriously stop overplaying the negative reaction. Some people don't like it. Get over it.
-
Gosh, if they did wouldn't that be so inspirational/brave/like, amazing for their fans. Its a shame these world leaders of football marketing aren't as cutting edge as we are.
-
Do you mean get worked up like this....? I think lectures like this are more 'pathetic' than the people simply saying 'it's dreadful'. I knew it wouldn't be long before soneone started working themselves up into rambling on about 'shaking things up' and being 'inspirational'. Christ. Its a football kit. And a fuc kin g sh it one at that.
-
I think the people falling over themselves to be disingenous about it are expelling the most emotion to be honest. I took one look at it and decided it was utterly fuc king sh it. Ten seconds max. I don't need to have an internal monologue or a rationale for my opinion or start pretending it is "temporary" or anything else. It is appalling. It won't stop me happily living the rest of my life like you weirdos seem to be suggesting. But it is still utterly fu cking ****. I don't care. But it is sh it.
-
Temporary shirt? Do we get a different one in September then? I'm not emotional about it. It's rubbish that's all.
-
This is the kit Markus demanded on his death bed. I think it is utterly fu cking **** and easily the worst kit in my lifetime.
-
If you're being so general, why cherry pick Oxlade-Chamberlain? Lots of people in general said Sunderland overpaid for Connor Wickam. Why not use that example?
-
...and this is a keeper not an attacker and we've just got promoted and we're not in the CL and...oh. Lots of difference then, as you say. So not relevent. Well done though.
-
I think we've already done overspending on this thread. This isn't UK Gold.
-
Not really, apart from the fact you are overplaying the AOC reaction on this forum. I can't remember much critique of Arsenal's spending policy, just lots of stuff about AOC being better off playing lots of NPC games for us rather than signing for Arsenal, an entirely different point. Bur make stuff up if you like.
-
Someone has already made this point on this thread. It was irrelevent that time as well. We are not Arsenal.
-
Yes. And I have the knowledge that six million for a teenage keeper is a hell of a lot of money for a club our size in our first season back. I've not seen him play but it doesn't matter as you'll notice I am not even saying he isn't worth six million. I'm saying I am uncomfortable with us spending that kind of money on that kind of player. Understand now?
-
I really don't care what you think.
-
Well no. Six million for Man City is not overspending, they have the backing and CL income too. For Yeovil fifty grand might just be. And so on back to us.
-
No. Would be fine for them. They have money and squad and its not their first season back. My point is I don't think we should be spending that much on a kid. Anyway, it will be something like two mil up front I guess which is fine for us.
-
Arsenal have more money than we do. If we start spending on potential like Arsenal do then we are overspending on potential because we are not Arsenal.
