  1. Stange as I see that is Lalana's position, a bit like Matty, but Lalana seems more effective out wide at time, so perhaps Oxo should play just behind the front 2?
  2. I will say it again, he would have left if we did not go up, like many others, but now we can build on this keep Oxo and Lalana and Fonte and build a team around them. I think there will be 4/5 to leave and the same number in, but only if we can improve on what we have already!
  3. Someone has been at the pub since work finished, good evening was it?
  4. They make it very cheap for renewals. They want as much money up front so they can plan the financial budgets for the season. Ok not as much as we have needed the money on the past as we are a cash rich club. I have no idea what they have up their sleeve to promote the season tickets. We will find out, but I do remember them banging on about it pre-season 2010/11!!
  5. Love the idea, as I said I will probably only get to 6 or 7 home games in a season but want to get a season ticket. Was going to sellit for the games that I could not go to for £15 a pop just to make up a little bit of the lost income from the season ticket. I am not sure this is allowed but to friends surely it cannot work.....hello friends
  6. Here is the stats from the 2nd flight of football to get into the big time. I've had a look at the last six League games for each of the four clubs in the previous 16 seasons of play-offs in this division (Now NPC) and found the following frequencies of winning the play-off final: Club with best form - 5 times Club with second best form - 4 times Club with third best form - 4 times Club with worst form - 3 times and since the playoff's started. 3rd place - 12 teams made the final. 4th place - 13 teams made the final. 5th place - 10 teams made the final. 6th place - 11 teams made the final. and to go up. 3rd place - 8 teams. (35%) 5th place - 6 teams. (26%) 6th place - 5 teams. (22%) 4th place - 4 teams. (17%) Looks to me like the 3rd place team have the edge on winning and being promoted. But really it is all just a lottery!!
  7. Does not happen that often, it is pretty even, and the team with the best finish to the last few games of the season normally go up. Posh had the best last day!
  8. I have Reading, Peterborough, Torquay and AFC Wimbledon to be promoted. I feel I will get 3 out of 4 which of course is not good enough. I have a soft spot for Torquay so hence them being in there, but I think Shrewsbury will go up in league 2.
  9. I want either Cardiff or Swansea to go up, as I do not fancy a 2 trips to Wales (not that I would go) I would prefer a trip to Forest & Reading though, so do not want either of these 2 to go up, but I really think either Reading or Swansea will go up. From League 1 I really do not know. I want Huddersfield to go up as I think in the race for second place they have been fantastic and very professional about it. Bournemouth for me do not have a hope, their form is terrible and Posh and Huddersfield will take them apart on their day. Cannot stand MK Dons. My head says Peterborough on this one in a Huddersfield v Posh final.....I hope it is Huddersfield though.
  10. Now I have heard that it is going to be like this, red bottom and white at the top.... no stripes or sashes to be seen!!
  11. I do like the red and white uniform they wear, and I am not sure why??
  12. I know it is hard to tell what we will do next season until we have seen who goes and who comes into the club, but what are your expectations for next season? Earlier this season I was saying that when we go up at the end of the season I would be happy with mid table. When we beat Plymouth I thought scraping into the playoff's I would be happy with, but after Norwich went up I was thinking why not top 2? I was wondering if the club and manager are thinking top 2, I am sure they are, but I would be very happy with a playoff place, and not to down in the dumps if we finished mid table..... top 2 would be a dream!! I just wanted to gage now what you want next season, and then again after pre-season, then again after 10 games. How about a Poll now, and then again just before the start of the season, and then another after 10 games.
  13. I wonder if I will hear back from the FA? I know lots of people that have written to them and not had a reply...so rude. I am hoping that now I am a referee they will come back to me on this. I know Royston Town FC will as I have a great relationship with the club.
  14. This, I cannot get excited by an England game like I do Saints, and after the last World Cup I have given up on the international team!!
  15. I still hate the fact that BBC and ITV have not had 1 live Premier League game since 1992. I do not think they should have exclusive rights anymore, but on the other hand the BBC could not compete, but I still think they should have a handful of games a season. I am thinking of getting rid of Sky, but I love watching football grrrr!!
  16. No my waiter dropped my ****ing steak, could not walk let alone flip things around!!
  17. I am thinking of getting a season ticket, but I will probably only be able to go to 6/7 home games, but I will be looking to let friends use it for lower than the price I paid for it, sat £15 a game. Is this allowed as I do not want to waste my money and at least I can get a little bit back in the meantime.
  18. oh and match of the day has been really peeing me off since 05/06 season, but not so much this year. I just want us to get back on there!
  19. Also on 5 live they say they are the home (or words to that effect) of the Premier League, the Championship and the Scotish premier League, that has peed me off for 2 seasons.
  20. Well I have written to the FA and the local club Royston Town FC.
  21. That is a little bit creepy but hey, would love to see the photo's of you taking their money, which you help put in their pockets!! What goes around!
  22. Been there a couple of times, and went on Eurostar to Brussels, and it was easy to get a train up to brugge which is really nice for a day trip. Brussels we went to see the ****ing boy and the main square was really nice. We went in December and it was rammed with tourists. Really liked it and it got us into the Christmas spirit.
  23. funny enough it was in a restaurant in Turkey on the main strip in gumber, but it has gone now! Along with most of the main strip! In the UK it was in Guildford on the Woodbridge Road stunning but it could be because it was one of the first places I went out for an Indian. Now it is the Royal Bangal on Royston high street
  24. Don't get me wrong as no one could even get close to Saints for me, but you would start to feel a little bit of a connection, and I really would like to go and watch them with the family. 9 and 3 year old daughters. The 9 year old banging on about supporting Saints, Arsenal and Man U!! I just feel that these clubs need to look at how they could get more people through the gates, and ok for me it is to late I bleed red and white stripes/sashes, but for you young children you could grow your club for the future. You surely have to look at it more long term and dare I say it as a business?
  25. You have a lot of traditional football fans that see football as a 3pm Saturday afternoon activity and that is when the games should kick off. You tell that to a Manchester United football fan! The powers that be could at least put it to a vote, and perhaps if the football clubs did a bit of market research they could all see how much of a difference this COULD make, or maybe not, and then they could make there own choice. They have to look at it properly and also take into account that football is changing so much all the time, and even more so with kick off times and less and less money at grass roots level.
