  1. my words
  2. Hinti should NOT play as a defensive midfielder, trust me... and yes, he is definitely expensive since he was a top 3 performer in Eintrachts squad and probably the most consistent player during 2019/20 anyways, good players are usually expensive, thats just the way it is
  3. Puh if i would have to pick Hinteregger or Orban - definitely Hinti! ok, now it seems obvious that i am Austrian, but objectively i d really go for Hinteregger
  4. you're welcome, but due to Austrian news it seems pretty likely that Hinteregger already started chatting with Ralph
  5. Several reasons: - First it seems obvious to me that Saints rather have to work to stabilize their defense, Hinteregger is probably in form of his life as a CB, an extreme valuable player for Frankfurt... a few years ago he was known for "black outs" in his game, but he worked on that one and barely makes any crucial errors in his game now - his game build up is made for the premier league, his passing is very accurate even on longer distances. he has a great overview - his positiong play has been fantastic lately and could be key to stabilize Saints def - he is also very dangerous in standard situations/header shots, with 8 goals he finished even as Frankfurt second best striker which is insane - Ralph knows Hinteregger well and surely would assign him well into the squad though i do not think Frankfurt would let him go for <23-25 mill eur -
  6. Hnteregger would fit perfectly into the premier league!
  7. 3:1 Saints & 2:1 Everton = Saints finish in 11th place
  8. Ralph! RALPH!!!!! Ralph. It's all said. ☺️
  9. I need to add something here... Generally i think, believe that criticism is never something we should be ashamed off as long as there is a inherent, constructive element. For example, when someone just blames a trainer for doing a "wrong decision" because he changed the wrong players... that's always something which is not really obvious right or wrong since there can be so many reasons for changing a player (injury risk/tiredness/performance overall/motivation...)... and that's IMHO kinda speculative.. (and yes, of course you are allowed to criticise a trainer for changing in a matter you do not understand, but then you still should be aware of that there can be many reasons for a trainer to act in a way he actually does) If on the other hand a trainer gets criticised for bad body language/poor communication (f.e. interview quality)/consistently emphasizing the same things, the same problems, than critisizm is kinda understandable for me..
  10. Good comment IMHO.. i am Austrian as well and what impressed me most about Ralph so far was his reflection capability .. he has no problems to acknowledge that he has done things wrong/changed his opinion in some cases... And yes, i do believe that the combo Richie Kitzbichler & Hasiii works pretty well.
  11. Criticism can be both: negative or positive. Rather a question HOW to make criticism and after a loss many people easily start to overshoot, probably due to an overdose of emotionality. RH has made errors as everyone does, but he is clearly not the main reason for some of the losses during the last weeks. always needs to be viewed as a sum of many factors. And if people would have had the chance to take 3 points out of 2 games against Arsenal - no question, of course you would have taken it.
  12. Generalisations are never appropriate, but i did have the feeling that some of you already started to relativise RH work ("more likely a manager effect") after a few (mostly unlucky) performances... All the best
  13. jesus christ, might should have read through once again before submitting
  14. Some thoughts from an external observer (i am Austrian): Totally understandable that the overwhelming reactions after a majority of great results gradually returned to normal for now. But... people, please, do not lose your sense of realism. Some of the comments i 've read here during the last 2-3 weeks were more likely panic reactions than anything else. Lets look at the facts: RH obviously overtook a desolate and highly unsettled team in the beginning of the season. How many points had Southampton when Hughes left? Think 9 out of 15 games, which is what i'd call an awful start. And one thing we can tell for sure is that the team did improve afterwards, i think is questioning that. And yes, the last games obviously did not went so well. Of course, we are talking about 2, 3 or even more lost points due to a lack of concentration in the latter stages of the games. Still: the directions fits well even though some fans already start talking about relegating after some suboptimal performances. What did you expect? RH is not a wizard and it was most likely that the whole season would follow the mission of "averting further damage" rather than taking a placing in the comfort zone. And even though statistics do not save teams from beeing relegated, the direction still shows that Southampton is going to stay in the league. RH has made 15 points out of 11 games (even with the first loss to Cardiff when RH basically had no chance to make any impact) with the squad and even IF Arsenal is going to win tomorrow, there are still 7 teams who performed worse: Wolverhampton, Newcastle, Leicester, Fulham, Brighton & Hove Albion, Huddersfield, Bournemouth Right now (if Arsenals wins tomorrow), that makes 1,25 points/game. Of course that's not supergreat, but it IS way better compared to the start of the season and it should most likely lead to staying in the league. So 1,25/games would still make 38 points and the last time 38 were NOT enough was in 2010/11. So, folks, let the good vibes come back and believe in RHs work with the squad.
