    Danny Ings

Agree. And in terms of a 'message' being sent out (perennial selling club etc), that affects our ability to attract new players too. Keep him if possible for another year would be my view. We won't get more than £20m, I wouldn't have thought. Have to admit I'm excited by Tella's potential, though. And great to see someone actually look like they are ecstatic to score, and is clearly liked by other team members. (not saying Ings isn't)
  2. In all seriousness I think the problem with Redmond is his 'looseness' with the ball. His retention always seems poor, and is a major flaw in the way RH wants to play. It often seems to break down with him. Zidane is awful. Can't even get on the bench at the moment. 😉
  3. Touché Interestingly (ish) Armstrong's stats on Fantasy Football (for what it's worth) are almost double those of ol' lose-the-ball Nathan R. Armstrong is a fine footballer, and, it struck me, almost the epitome of what Ralph likes - superb engine, gets up and down, transitions well, tackles, and scores goals. Redmond has, erm. Not so much.
  4. I think that would be a very good outcome. Or to Birmingham...
  5. Honestly can't ever remember him having it in the first place. Loses the ball way too much. Doesn't score enough. (check out that early slice shot yesterday into row z) Moans at his teammates too much. I think (though obvs don't know, I know) a destabilising factor. We will be a far more balanced side when/if we can move him on. All just my opinion, of course. (awaits usual suspects)

    he is fast though
  8. Agree with this. Leadership and being vocal are important to this team, because we lack 'fight' and precisely that sometimes. JWP is a great player, but not a blood-stirring captain. So yes, if Stephens is getting into that zone, that augurs well. Hurrah

  10. Me too. We agree!

  12. It really was a joke. If at the other end there would have been no chance of an overturn.
  13. Liverpool getting all the breaks. It’s almost as if there are vested interests in wanting them to still be in with a chance of the champions league... hold on West Brom! klopp moaning at every official on the sidelines. Such a twonk.
  14. I mean, it's not a massive chance, is it? Ali Dia got longer
  15. and also, Forster is better 😉
  16. I think he is excellent and should be the basis of the defence, in front of Forster.
  17. Maybe we should try him and see
  18. It was a hopeful punt vaguely in his direction, which Ings did impossibly well to turn into an opportunity with a deft turn and poke. To call it an assist is laughable.
  19. Man Utd? No penalty. Saints and Vestergaard? Pen and red card. Same issue. Bailly got ball first but followed through. Ref Anthony Taylor overrules penalty. One rule etc
  20. So not very logical. Man does not break someone's leg, shock. Oppo player doesn't even go off. Our player spends rest of season out in cold. I never argued it wasn't a bad challenge.
  21. 'on another day' - ie it was not bad enough to do just that. What kind of logic is that?
  22. He made one rash challenge. I mean, fall guy for the 9-0 or what? Must be something behind the scenes from him or his agent, or bad blood with Ralph. Would really like to see him given a chance. Maybe he thinks he's too good for us and wants out big time.

Just need to add playing squad deep enough and good enough to survive and we will be rich pickings

    Danny Ings

If City came up with the buyout cash I'm not sure Spurs would have a choice. And I suspect he wants to play champions league, so may agitate to go if an offer comes in. But yes, you could be right. Bit make or break for him at the moment though... On Ings it would be just Spurs style to buy him and say he's first choice AT THAT TIME. Greasy bunch.

I'm dreading Levy screwing us over again and getting Ings for £10m AND another younger striker with all that booty, should someone be able to afford Kane.
