That’s what I meant. Bought the ticket straight through to Putney

Trains from Southampton go direct to Clapham Common but on the Fareham/Havant line. Not the quickest but we’re making a day of it anyway. Paid £32 return with a railcard

Full strength, fucking go for it. We’re not ready to be promoted and it’s a long shot anyway. Don’t want us rolling over for anyone, let alone a club that has a ‘neutral end’, no matter how good their squad is these days
-
We’re going to drop more stupid points where we’d hope and expect to win. We’ll probably have to win 1 or 2 of the ones we’d worry about up front. Would be like us to beat Cov away then lose to Norwich at home
-
It’s going to be tight. Was just looking at a 10 game form table, in that time we’ve caught up exactly 0 points on Wrexham and just 1 on Hull. Realistically it’s those we’re chasing. I actually think Hull are more likely to have a slump, they’ve been very lucky to win their last couple of games

Yeah it’s scandalous how disincentivised championship clubs are. I can accept the next round being on a weekend of full championship fixtures as not many will get through and it’s a 46 game season, but it should never be scheduled for Easter weekend when it’s a championship double header

I think our support has been very much like that in general recently. The atmosphere in the stands is a reflection of the tempo on the pitch - slow, turgid and boring mainly. We’re in a decent run of form but beating teams by boring them into submission. Obviously would rather win boring than not win, but it isn’t making for a good atmosphere at the moment

Decent enough result, shit atmosphere and away end. 20 years since I last went to Hillsborough and it’s more dilapidated than ever
-
Rob Edwards giving it the big one like they just stayed up. Weird

Big striker or not, we should’ve gone to a back 4 way before we did. Was so blatantly obvious we needed the extra man in midfield rather than playing Fellows at RWB and knocking it around the back 5 before giving it away. And with Manning’s complete lack of positional awareness, the formation was killing us. A CB at RB would’ve been far better than a 5 with Fellows and Manning
-
Yeah, we’ve only won 3 games all season against sides currently in the top half, all at home (Wrexham, Birmingham, Watford). Going to have to start beating some decent sides on the road as well
-
Doubt it’ll be a big points total for 6th this season. The top 2 aren’t even going at 2 ppg, nobody else in the league has been putting together long strings of results before the next wobble, ourselves included. We’ve been making up ground on everyone since Tonda took over even with that shit run over Xmas and dropping silly points like on Saturday. Not saying we’re going to definitely going to do it but if we consistently play at the levels we can and should be at, we should be involved.

2006, we were 3-1 up. Mark Crossley scored from that corner. The whiskey George days

I mean, they’ve lost their last 10 in a row. If we concentrate and give the game the respect it deserves, we’ll be fine.

This was the lineup last time I was at Hillsborough, mad that it’s 2 decades ago. Davis, Ostlund, Lundekvam (Viafara 46), Baird, Bale, Pele, Skacel, Wright, Surman, Rasiak, Jones (Wright-Phillips 46)
