This noise isn’t going away so the club need to get ahead of it and use it to our advantage. ‘They’ve tried to fuck us over, we’re not having it, we’re coming back stronger next year, keep crying’ is the approach I want to see. Play on the new rivalry with those peasants from the north east, another opportunity to make sure we get all the points off Pompey, we basically started last season on -20 from the Will Still experiment so -4 is fuck all. They need to get a few players tied down early to get the feel good factor going, then season tickets, and hopefully quickly replace those who are on the way out regardless. Looking forward to it already, there should be a real edge to the season.

Glad they’ve all been back at work today after a lovely half term break and can start sorting out the shit storm they’ve caused. Season ticket renewals out this week? https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cq6pn58pmn4o

Exactly, I don’t think it’s even fans wanting heads to roll necessarily, just some reassurance that the club are taking it seriously, actually doing something about it and have some sort of plan to get us out of this mess. It just feels like they’re on holiday hoping it’ll blow over, or at least be old news by the time they want the fans to put their hands in their pockets again for season tickets. If that’s the strategy then they’ll be in for a shock. They need to put their chips in one way or the other, either back those involved or sack the lot and restructure. The longer it goes on without a decision, the harder it gets.

Yeah fucking off on a week’s holiday during what is probably the most damaging crisis in the club’s history, is not what a CEO should be doing. What sort of message does that send through the rest of the structure? Complete lack of leadership, utter contempt for the fans who are still left in the dark, staff and players with no idea whether to look for a new job over the summer or not. Absolute shambles from the top, sorry FF but just because someone seems a nice chap and has a family, doesn’t give them a pass to down tools in a situation like this. How we handle these couple of weeks are clearly crucial to the future of the club. I predicted ages ago that I reckon the next communication from the club will be on season ticket renewals, looking even more likely now. The circus marches on

Modern FIFA and Trump’s America are a perfect recipe for ruining what should be an amazing event. Rinsing every penny/dollar out of people and making it completely inaccessible to normal football fans even if it means empty stadiums. Too many teams, too many uninteresting fixtures, too expensive, travel and accommodation quadrupled in price, talk of an NFL style half time show for the final, makes you sick. It’s not what football is about. I’d have been far more interested if it was just in Mexico, amazing country apart from its troubles in the north. No coincidence that the closer you get to the USA, the worse it is.

This is where I’m at. Still absolutely raging that we did ourselves out of the playoffs in that manner, and Tonda has to own that. But he also got us there in the first place when the season looked a write off by October, and I have absolutely zero faith in SR finding a suitable replacement. They got lucky with Tonda, even if he’s a cheat, we need to own it and focus on what he did well rather than what he did wrong. Just hope the players can be talked round and are up for going again.

Interesting to see Lincoln City in the ‘South’ and therefore a title contender

The club need to throw whatever they’ve got at making a deal for Peretz if he’s even slightly open to the idea. It’d have a huge positive impact on the supporters and I’m sure on the playing squad too, he’s a proper leader and clearly well liked, it may sway others that are on the fence. Hugely unlikely that he’d want to sign with us, I’m sure he’ll have far better offers, but it’d be negligent not to try everything with the state of our goalkeeping department.

Latest outrights from Skybet, though I guess it might all look quite different by the time the season starts depending on recruitment. As we saw with Boro and Hull, you can still have a decent season even if you’re shit if you get off to a flier, while the favourites take until November to sort their shit out. Let’s hope Saints get their affairs in order ASAP and the relegated sides have a summer of turmoil. West Ham 9/4 Wolves 11/2 Burnley 15/2 Birmingham 10/1 Middlesbrough 11/1 Wrexham 12/1 Sheff Utd 12/1 Southampton 14/1 Norwich 18/1 Millwall 22/1 Stoke 28/1 Derby 28/1 WBA 33/1 Bristol City 33/1 Watford 40/1 Swansea 40/1 Blackburn 50/1 Portsmouth 50/1 QPR 50/1 Bolton 66/1 Preston 66/1 Cardiff 66/1 Charlton 80/1 Lincoln 150/1 7 grounds left in there that I haven’t been to so will be getting to as many of those as possible. Assuming Lincoln will go very quickly and likely Wrexham again due to small allocations.

Starting to feel like they’re just hoping the media move on to the next thing, the World Cup and Tuchel’s weird squad, or whatever, this will all blow over and they can get away without doing anything meaningful at all. SR finally (accidentally) stumbled across something that resembles a competent manager, even if he’s a cheat, they know their track record on employing managers is absolutely atrocious so I’m sure they won’t want to sack Tonda if they don’t have to. I reckon they’re sitting tight to see what the FA do, if he’s banned then their hand is forced, if he’s not then I expect some piss weak statement saying we’ll learn from our mistakes and carry on. If somehow Tonda is not banned for next season and the club decide to back him, I seriously hope they’ve made sure that he’d have the backing of the players. SR are probably completely unaware but they’re on seriously thin ice with the fans (again).

Hahahahhahahaha get FUCKED. How many times can Boro bottle it in one season? Bottle those fucking tears
-
Hull are shite and Boro aren’t much better. What a wasted opportunity
-
The entire blocks unsold are in the Hull end tbf, in the same spot as City’s were for the cup game. But it looked pretty sparse in places as they panned around the Boro end as it was kicking off. Halfway line seats are half empty by the dugouts
-
Justice will be done when Hellberg is crying again at 1730. Want to see footage of Boro fans in tears too, and hopefully that helmet Gibson. So many empty seats, absolutely fuming with Saints that we’ve been put in this position.
