Seeing as cheating occurs in practically every match that is played, I think even a Middlesbrough player dived in the Saints penalty area last night, I can see a lot of matches in the future being declared void. It could lead to all sorts of litigation procedures deciding the out come of matches if a precedent is set by the EFL in banning Saints….
I imagine Saints want it dealt with quickly, so that being thrown out of the play offs remains a punishment, which could then be appealed. Otherwise if we’re already out, it’s likely to be a points deduction next season….
Surely it will be double relegation with club currently playing for and parent club both going down. I wonder if that has ever happened before…..? If wham do actually go down, it will mean two other defectors suffering consecutive relegations……
I think I just heard on GSS that they won’t be docked 15 points next season in league 1. Must admit I’ve mixed feeling about whether they actually win another match today. I was enjoying the fact that their only league win of the season was at Fratton Park…..😀
Imagine celebrating promotion, and then not going up. On a similar note it sounds like the blue few are celebrating today as if they had won the league….!…..oh well…..
