  1. 3 points today. I'm feeling confident. COYS!
  2. I thought my post a bit further up this page explained some of the details pretty well. Being in the crap and dealing with it in one way earns you kudos. Dealing it in another way earns you the cheat title. It has been defended quite a few times and even without abuse occasionally. Not our fault you are selectivlynreading what you wish is it?
  3. And many of those that aggreed were already set to get 100p in the pound so they stitched up those that were due to get less!
  4. So are you thinking that the cheating is purly down to how much you or us owed? Nothing to do with pricing competitors out of transfer dealings by offering money that simply wasnt available? Or paying wages that were way over budget and beyond the bank ballance to players that were vital in getting your club through various stages of 2 successful FA cup runs? Or even now, paying Prem players wages and bonus's that are again above the expected income to gain points over rivals who are attempting to live within their means? I have sympathy for clubs who for various reasons have to take the admin route as a last chance to rescue their business IF they make every effort to reduce their debt and put together a solution that is in the best interest of the creditors. Leeds took the P*** by shedding debt and offering the best part of naff all in return but at least they had the decency to drop all the high earners and play the youth and free bee's on pittance wages while they re-grouped and re-buillt. What Leeds owed at the time was staggering and what Pompey are reported to owe is even more so but that isnt what the label of Cheats is for, and yours and our administrations cant be compared further than 2 clubs who were in trouble financially.
  5. If you didn't say it then fair enough I take it back. I'm only going on the common theme that it's something you came on here spouting. Even if you said it in jest it's pretty funny so you can't blame people for coming back to it. Anyway back to your club.... I know your not happy that chainrai is still around so what do you think is next for your club? Can you see things going from strength to strength or are you worried this is a false Dawn?
  6. TBF Saints turnover at the mo is not a financial problem and hasn't run the club into so much debt. I think our administration was down to the bank calling in the over draft. Wages were never paid late or at risk of not being paid. That would suggest that our turn over covered the wages at least. Talking of "could", "might" and "maybe", what term did you use for Maradona and Riquelme?
  7. Is that what lampit was on SSN for earlier? Only caught the end of it but figured there was a sniff of a twist in the saga. Could the world outside us lot finally be smelling a rat and start to question the goings on down there? I still don't understand why there is no governing body that keeps an eye on how administrators go about their business. If AA has ignored cash offers in favour of his puppet master, and if that goes against the rules of running an administration, who is in charge of pulling them up on it? I can only think of trading standards but guess that would be as much use as a chocolate tea pot. There seems to be an easy out as the old club is being liquidated. It would make sense for someone to investigate how the club got to where it is and also that the administration was dealt with in the best interests of the creditors. But they investigate themselves so they are hardly going to pick holes in there own work are they? If a policeman committed a crime, it wouldn't be him who ran the investigation would it?
  8. Even if the wage ideas are close to reality I doubt that will be the only expenditure the club has to fork out on. Many players have win or goal bonus's tied into there contracts so there could be additional payments there, as others have mentioned there are the tax and NI bill's that for any football club must be quite high based on the ammount players get paid these days. Pompey are trading with a wage bill higher than there CVA limits already so surly any extra money out is going to be a strain? The attendances are a bit off so far although you might get more through the door now your out of admin and no doubt even more should you realistically charge for promotion. But even then I would think an average of 17k will be a struggle. Most teams in the Championship struggle to hit that many week in week out and your fans have lost interest due to all the flak they have had to put up with. The club is now in the hands of someone that took the club in this direction only to shed some debt and make some money out of the club. I would question how much support the locals will be prepared to give after all they have been put through. I would guess for the next few weeks there will be a bumper turn out but it will take the slightest of wobbles for the support to vanish again. Only way it will be easy will be if a shed load of money gets injected into the club. I and I would have thought even you would doubt the chances of that happening too soon.
  9. Think the article saying he is insterested says he took over at hull and provided them with the funds to gain promotion in the 1st year. moved on soon after leaving them 9 mil in debt and heading back to the championship. Sounds like a perfect match for pompey IMO
  10. So when does AA liquidate the old company and whats the odd's on him finding out that everything was absolutly peachy all along? In a way I suppose its good that they are still in business, its not a nice thought for any club to go to the wall but it's galling to see how much they have flicked the V's to the rules and got points of other teams who are at least trying to manage there finances correctly. Feels like they have come through this situation without being punished for all there wrongs. After all of this I dont hold out much hope that the tax evasion cases will come to anything either.
  11. So is Gaydemak really about to sign or was his statement earlier just to stop him looking so bad to the blue few? Finger was pointing at him to be the one to ruin them but now everyone thinks it's going to be A OK. What if he is only going to sign if the technical details he wants sorted are done? If he doesn't sign he can throw the blame back to the others for messing it all about. I think there is still a chance that it won't be over tonight and there may be a few more twists yet to turn.
  12. Spot On!
  13. Nah, if, and it's a big if, Pompey are gone then there will be an AFC Pompey born soon enough. Might take a long while to get to some decent derby's again but I'm sure we won't mind waiting. For you and the very few of you that have seen all things so far for what they really are, I hope AFC Pompey happens sooner rather than later and becomes something you can proudly support. For the many of your lot that just don't get it.... F**k em!

  15. I wonder if junior is acting on seniors say so? Didn't chainrai and Gaydemak senior have a run in before? What if senior has said he will cover juniors loss's as long as he makes sure chainrai is out of pocket by Allot!!?? If the club closes down the junior will still own the land around it and I doubt it will take much effort to get a few quid for it some way down the line. So junior could really stick the boot into pompey in order to shaft one of his dads enemy's. My 1st impression is that a deal will be made but there is more history there that suggests there is something else going on to warm the bread.

  17. Well with all the sorting out they have done and the fact that they found out it doesnt work too good I was presuming they had got it all fixed by now and be ready to come out of admin with the blink of an eye!
  18. So the FL have ratified a take over today(Leicester). I guess that means Pompey dont have to actually wait until the next FL meeting to get things all sorted and embargo lifted??? They have those 4 things all cleared up now so surly its just a case of making a phone call or sending a fax right? Any min they will announce its all OK now right? Hreidarsson signed today according to the SSN ticker thingy earlier. No mention of it on the SSN site yet. Is that subject to the FL saying yes also? If they can afford to agree another (probably) over cva budget contract how come they havent get there arses out of admin so they can go on and bring in loads more players? Are we waiting for them to implode or are they really going to stick at it in Admin making the right noises until they know if they are in with a shout of going up or not?
  19. I love how they slate him in the comments. There is no-one sniffing round interested in buying the club. Chainrai only wants it to get his money out of it and the only offer they have is this lad. Fair enough slate him if there were a queue of wealthy buyers but itdoesnt strike me as a time to be choosey!
  20. OK most of that is just not worth debating with you as you obviously have your eyes wide shut on the matter but to be fair on the Tax man, HMRC was hardly going to accept even a half payment when in a seperate battle they are fighting to regain there status as a secured creditor to entitle them to 100% of what they are owed. As long as they are out of that loop there will be plenty of clubs that will line up to take the P out of them and write off large amounts of debt at the expence of NHS, Schools and public service. Had they have taken the 50% payment that you say they were offered then they would stand no chance in winning a future battle for 100%. Pompey at the mo have shown the way to dump an unbelievable amount of debt and sling 2 fingers up at the league. I wonder if there are any other clubs that will be looking to use the same model in the future?
  21. Are they out of Admin yet?
  22. Made me smile to see him doing well. but the second thought was that of saggy chops benifiting from Bale's success! I recently got given Bales Training jacket from his time with the youth team. Sat there last night telling the wife "thats the kid that had the saints jacket I got given" Even then she didnt seem impressed. lol
  23. It's still puzzling that a player who can't get into our team which at the mo is an average L1 team. Gets taken off to the league above and goes straight into there squad ahead of any other options they could shoe horn in. He is a player that I hope will make it with us so on that basis I hope he gets some game time and comes back a stronger player for us. I always thought it was odd that we went after so many left sided players which seem to have pushed mills back down the pecking order.
  24. I thought the last time the FL asked for things to be done, they didn't talk about it until the following months meeting. If these 4 things AA has got cleared up are not being heard till the next FL meeting then I guess we will have to keep this thread open until the 2nd week in November?
  25. Still not out of admin yet though are they? And wasn't he in the squad for the Watford game too? Will still wait and see what happens.
