  1. Why don't we just rename this thread 'Racist Rant and Bile' - then the saner members of TSW can make an informed choice about what they read.
  2. The conclusion to my tale is this. That young man had a choice - he could become what he was being accused of or he could fly in the face of the stereotyping that surrounded him. He is now a very successful corporate lawyer. Wouldn't it have been sad if we'd been deprived of such a talent because of the mindless attitude of some police officers. Fortunately, that attitude is changing, albeit slowly. OK, some will say that, if he could rise above it all, then so can every falsely-accused young black man. But, as with any section of society, not everyone is blessed with his intellect and decency.
  3. Yes - about a football related matter. Don't ever try to associate me with your racist bile.
  4. Is that the same foot as the one he's stamping in a tantrum

  6. Mind you don't fall into that hole I was telling you about.
  7. No I don't condone threatening and beating women. I recall that you were planning to do this and boasted about it on here.
  8. You're second phrase doesn't necessarily link with your first. It does say something, but not what you're suggesting.
  9. Jeez - you can't even see your own irrationality, even when it's quoted in a post that you then comment on! I worry, I really do
  10. And this shows just how challenged you are. You'll just have to hope there isn't ever a problem with gangs whose names begin with G. You won't stand a chance. Silly man.
  11. Oh right - so all Londoners are now rioters and looters. Is that what you're saying. Stop digging holes for yourself, buddy.
  12. PM on its way
  13. That's just plain insulting TDD. I'm surprised you're not infracted for that. Shame on you.
  14. Let me tell you a true story - and you can all make of it what you will. A few years ago, my youngest daughter was 'going out' with an Afro-Caribbean boy. He was highly intelligent (an A level student at the local grammar school), and a very talented athlete and footballer. He was stopped and searched almost every weekend night he was out in the local town. Usually he was walking along the road with my daughter, minding his own business. Occasionally he was with a few friends. There was absolutely nothing at all to suggest to the police that he was up to no good. But still he was stopped and searched. However, when my son (same age, same school but no athletic prowess to speak of) walked in the same town at a weekend he never ever got stopped. Not even when he was with a crowd of friends. I leave you to draw your own conclusions.
  15. "People of the UK, I make you this promise. I will start to show some leadership soon - honest"
  16. Hey Thorpie - are you really THAT powerful that you can dictate policing methods?
  17. Very, very low pay for London. Even on the top whack, her gross would be about £12k - pretty tough for living in London. However, she's a criminal now so she'll lose her paltry pay anyway. But hey, if she's a teaching assistant, she's not a child now, is she
  18. I think s/he should be ashamed of herself TBH. He or she will lose his or her job (low paid, BTW not well paid -£7K to £15K pro rata to term times) and rightly so. Still, if it amuses you................... simple things
  19. Glad you shared it with us, Nick. Sadly, some people have tunnel vision and just don't understand the point you were making.
  20. No - the capitalist, globalist manoeuvrings have done enormous harm to this country.
  21. But are those who take the law into their own hands to protect shops and homes more of a hindrance than a help? Clive Efford, MP for Eltham, is among those who think they can be. "A group of the English Defence League turned up in the high street and have been drinking all day, and although they say they're here to assist the police, they [the police] have now diverted all these resources here," he told BBC Radio 4's Today programme. Scotland Yard sounded a similar warning. "What I don't need is these so-called vigilantes, who appeared to have been drinking too much and taking policing resources away from what they should have been doing - which is preventing the looting," said Met Police Deputy Assistant Commissioner Steve Kavanagh. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-14473781
  22. Did you miss out the 'n' in your user name?
  23. Here are a couple of interesting articles: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-14463452 http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-14463452 To all those who make assumptions about me, let me state (again) 1. I find the rioting and looting utterly abhorrent 2. I'm not seeking to condone or excuse the rioting or looting. But it's worth reading these articles to get the thought processes working. You may well still look for the 'sticking plaster' solution, but at least you will have considered what people at the coal face think.
  24. OK - that explains why they CAN do it. Why would they WANT to do it?
  25. Why do you think they do it, Turkish?
