  1. 1976 - I think questions are already being asked of Glencore http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-13620185 I think concerns have been raised too about their ethics and exploitations.
  2. http://today.yougov.co.uk/politics/govt-trackers-update-31st-may
  3. Oops sorry - my mistake! I've edited my post now.
  4. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?30242-Olympic-tickets-money-taken
  5. Well done you! I'm attacking their conscience and intellect but, given that they have neither, I guess it's water off a skate's back. Edit Are you S H by any chance because, if you are, you're boxing very clever
  6. Hmm we went for those plus badminton and didn't get any
  7. Oh noes! They've turned on me with taunts about a 'dead billionaire to mourn'.
  8. So far my FB comment has survived and even had a Like!
  9. Zilch, zero, nothing, de nada, nil Mind you, we'll get a better view on teh telly.
  10. http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2011/may/31/syria-unrest-teenage-victim-hamza
  11. Did I say what for? I did get up at 5am though so, having done the equivalent of 5 days' worth of men's work in one day, I am a tad weary.
  12. Errrr Humph! I'm talking about whisking and mixing if you don't mind. However, the cake is now cooked, the biochemistry problem solved, my nose no longer itches and I've finished watching a programme about stately homes whilst arranging to take my granddaughter to visit my friend's farm. And so to bed............
  13. I'll have you know I have a PhD in multitasking. I'm actually baking a cake, solving a biochemistry problem and scratching my nose as I type this.
  14. This, of course, explains why women are so much better at driving
  15. I would invent a rope lift thingy to hang out of my flat window and haul the buggers up. Simple, really.
  16. Are you there yet, Dune? http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-13605595
  17. Wasn't Visa running the ticketing?
  18. Over the top would be very unlikely now I should think. More like straight down.
  19. However, if you DID click on that grubby little Socialist link, you'd see that the blogs etc. are actually bona fide articles lifted from, for example, the Daily Telegraph. Or are you suggesting that the Telegraph is in fact a communist rag in disguise?
  20. So his eyes are shut, his ears don't work - if only we could work on the mouth!
  21. If they have Sky, they can get it on channel 984. Trust me - I have to use this channel when I'm at my daughters' houses in High Wycombe, otherwise I'd only get London news. You can access any BBC local news channel if you have Sky.
  22. Gradually the 'faster and deeper' cuts are slowing down and becoming shallow. The number of U-turns by this coalition is breathtaking. You should try reading some of the tweets and blogs on here (although of course it's an unashamedly anti-tory site) http://nobodylikesatory.wordpress.com/ Go on - have a look. It'll make you a more rounded individual.
  23. Because, tunnel-visioned one, the police forces and local authorities can't afford to run them, thanks to the Tory cuts! So they're switching them off!
  24. Lord Taylor, the Tory peer found guilty of fiddling his expenses, is being sentenced at Southwark CC today so I guess that's why there's no news of the Gruesome Twosome.
  25. Apparently all money will be taken by midnight tonight. We've just checked - still nothing
