  1. It's all relevant. If we can get 30k to turn up but can only muster 1,500 for a Northern away game, that's poor. Bournemouth get 6,000 but take 700 away, that's pretty decent and proves my theory correct that our fans only like nice local trips.
  2. Percentage wise, in relation to home support, Bournemouth's away support is better than ours.
  3. I do and lot's of other people do. Hence why threads on attendances and support normally rack up pages and pages of posts. Seeing as you're someone who only attends game every now and then, I wouldn't expect you to understand the importance of such matters.
  4. I base a teams support on how their fans respond during poor periods in their history, not when we're flying up the leagues beating everyone.
  5. There's no denying it, our support up North is poor. I await the usual "No it's not, we're the best fans in the world" responses.
  6. Tranmere the first time was dreadful. A horrible place, horrible ground, horrible stewards and horrible OB. Seeing that Skate running up the road afterwards with a terrified expression etched on his face was comedy gold.
  7. I'll take the credit for that one, thanks.
  8. I forgot all WHU fans down here live within a 10 minute walk of Kings X.
  9. Sunderland travel in numbers down here and WHU travel in numbers up North. Distance doesn't seem to bother them.
  10. As our fans have shown throughout history, our fanbase likes away trips that are near-by and are generally deemed as a safe day out. Hence why we failed to sell out 'Boro away last season, despite having the potential to be one of the biggest games in our history and why we took 6,000 to Palace with many more desperate for tickets but only took half that to Millwall.
  11. Rules are there to be broken.
  12. Didn't Man Citeh 'inherit' their ground from the council and only had to pay around £20m to convert it from an athletics stadium to a football stadium?
  13. We should be thanking them!
  14. Depends if we take our full allocations but vast majority of places if will be around 3-3,500. Wigan we can have 5,000, Fulham have that vile neutral end so you can effectively have that whole end which is around 6,000 - though seeing as we have them on Boxing Day, we'll only have 2k or so there. Reading will cut our allocation back down to the normal 2,000 now their plastics have come crawling back as well.
  15. Every away game bar London ones and Reading will make general sale. Just like they always have...
  16. There aren't currently any flights from Southampton to Geneva.
  17. 5 of them occurred on here.
  18. Can't include the 'Boro game. If a game was going to be fixed, you wouldn't leave it until stoppage time and rely on a Downing screamer, in fact, you wouldn't rely on Downing at all.
  19. Is this John Terry trial actually happening or is it some kind of elaborate hoax?
  20. Might have to start getting the advice slips then. Always press no. Being an uber fan I already have my ST but I could sell them on to some of the lesser fans on here.
  21. I think you've hit the nail on the head there. They're obviously not interested in the fact that a former Premiership footballer has declared that spot fixing is rife in the worlds most famous football league and are far more interested in trying to ruin little ol' Southampton.
  22. Hargreaves would be a terrible signing. Plagued by injuries throughout his entire career. All when and good saying worth a gamble on a PAYP deal but we're only allowed to register 25 players, one of those spaces would be wasted on him.
  23. If he's that bothered about watching Man Utd, a lot of their less glamorous games make general sale at Old Trafford. May I suggest he tries to get a ticket up there.
  24. We weren't a Premier League team then so nobody cared. Now we are, it's worthy of a back page headline.
  25. It sure looks like our former captain, wearing our shirt and it sure reads like he's talking about spot fixing during his time at Southampton. Other than that, you're right, nothing to do with us. *Buries head in sand*
