Following on from Lord Sugar's tweet yesterday, perhaps someone should get in touch with him..... After all, they used an MP in PMQ's, so why shouldn't a Lord bring it up with his peers? After all, some of them will be judges.....
-
Really? It's my understanding that they went into admin YESTERDAY! They certainly didn't hold his registration then, otherwise they wouldn't have needed permission to sign him on loan..... Surely Pompey holding his registration when their 'parent' company went into admin would make no difference whatsoever, since the two companies were not in any way shape or form inextricably linked, no siree, no way were they! Would love clarification from the FL about that tweet....

Well I guess that just leaves : £16.8m to CSI £16m to Baker Tilley for the old CVA £1.8m to HMRC £1.8m to the players and staff. £3 or £4m??? to Gaydamak Plus ongoing costs of circa £2.6m per month ALONE for wages, NI and TAX!!! So, not a lot then, and certainly makes the club MUCH more saleable than it was Looks like you'll be alright after all.......

If that old Doris was a smart cookie, she'd have been demanding royalties! The amount of times she's been in print, she could probably buy the skates by now

But if someone went to court and caused a bit of an upset it could be put off until Monday or Tuesday afternoon

As it says in their rules, the lodging must be done AT THE COURT. They are doing this tomorrow, so the points will come off tomorrow! The way I read it, they will come off whether that lodging is successful or not.....

Oddly, I can't shake a disturbing vision out of my head today! It's of AA dancing around in the bedroom of his bedsit in his grey Y-fronts - A La Mr Bean! - infront of his mirror, singing in to his hairbrush 'I'm coming for you, I'm coming for yoooooouuuuuu, HMRC, I'm coming for you' Perhaps I should go for a long walk and get some fresh air

Truly unbelievable and typical skate reaction! 1. The owner didn't 'walk away'! It's not possible for a business owner to just 'walk away'! Chinny SOLD [on HP!!] the company to CSI! He also put a charge on the only asset left that didn't have one, to ensure he still had something if they defaulted on the payments! Pretty good business sense in the end! It seems to me he did his due dilligence and was expecting them to default! However, that doesn't mean the Chief Executive of the club couldn't have got involved. If he had walked when the purchase happened, you could have had a slightly more realistic defence, but he didn't, so he accepted CSI for the genuine businessmen you all thought they were! 2. How much should a new owner put into an escrow account? CSI stated they were going to run the business within its means. Therefore they would have been obliged to put in exactly zero pounds. Or are you suggesting that an owner should put in £100m so that they can run the club at a loss for a couple of years! What happens when that money runs out? Who do you blame then as they will have fulfilled your new criteria?? Let's just assume that the BEST way to run a club is within its means, and not needing handouts from owners. I know that doesn't sit well with the skates as that would put you as a league 2 club. 3. You want to make owners personally liable for the debt. LOL. Good luck with changing the company laws of the land to suit your agenda!

Maybe there's no heating or lighting in the box office and it's a lot more comfortable in the shopping centre?

FROFLMFAO FPMSFL I posted here : http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?14620-Pompey-Takeover-Saga&p=1076207#post1076207 on the 29th June 2011 that Chinny didn't put a penny of his own money into the club. You responded here : http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?14620-Pompey-Takeover-Saga&p=1077775#post1077775 stating that it was 'so wrong it's laughable' and that 'That's the most ridiculously convoluted unnecessary conspiracy plot I've ever had the misfortune to hear. LOL'. Now you're trying to convince us that it's been your stance 'all along' that Chinny never put a penny into the club! Feel free to post a link confirming that this has been your opinion 'all along' - preferably one of your posts from before 29th June 2011 - although I believe that was around the time you came back from your self imposed exile, where you only posted on the main board under a different user name...... Pretty sure you won't be able to post a link to any of your ramblings proving it's been your opinion all along.....

Yep. Even if they've got the full £2.5m advanced as some reports say, this buys them just over 1 month! Their wage bill is circa £1.6m per month, and the tax due on that amount is another £800k! So they need £2.4m PER MONTH just to continue trading! I guess admin is their last chance saloon! One month, possibly strung out to two and they HAVE to have a buyer signed sealed and delivered by that time or else they will run out of money again - and that's before the CVA payment due in April! All admin will do is add another 500 pages to this thread before the inevitable happens
-
Even funnier It couldn't have worked out better for them! They've been saying all along that they don't want Chinny to get his grubby hands any where near the parachute payments, and the PL go and give them to him on a silver platter I wonder if they take a hit points wise for the privilege of handing over the cash to the thief? That would be the cherry on the icing on top of the cake

It truly is utterly mind boggling how you manage to contradict yourself in one post! You say Chainrai hasn't put a penny into the club and that it was all a con - a FACT that I agree wholeheartedly with and stated a couple of hundred pages ago, at the time though you called me a bed wetting conspiracy theorist! Then you say he's between a rock and a hard place and that he won't be getting the £17m for the club. I guess it depends on your viewpoint really. He DIDN'T put any cash into the club, he STILL HAS his original £17m, and while it would be nice to con someone else into giving him money for a club he's paid nothing for - how much did he get from CSI 'up front'? - he is currently not owed a penny. So, what is to stop him from letting the club be liquidated and then eventually selling the land he owns on for £3-4m?? Three years 'work' for £3m is a bloody good return in anyone's book! I know liquidation is not what you and the rest of Portsmouth want but if it gets chinny more money than he's currently lined up to get, I'm sure he'll take it in a heart beat!

I thought miss money penny said 'they' were meeting yesterday - which was of course Friday.... I suspect the meeting went as we all figured it would, otherwise Miss P would have been shouting her successes from the rafters to the even fewer.
-
I guess it must be called off because they sent all their academy players home then.... They should get used to that because come Monday, they won't have an academy once more. Please, guv, let us sign players as we don't have 20 and we don't have an academy to fill the gaps We're so short of players we should be allowed to sign another two on £30k per week, please guv, please. As sickening as it is, Pompey have already done this once with the FL and got away with it, looks like they'll be doing it again next week. Will the FL ever learn and make an amendment to the rules? I doubt it! You have to hand it to the skates, they know how to bend the rules to suit their needs.
-
So, in a few hours time, what you're saying is the score will be 4-1 again - obviously in terms of admin I, for one, will have a little toast when that happens.
-
Errrrmmmm, call me a thickie, but are you suggesting PCC will buy FP under a CPO, give all the land to PFC and allow them to sell it on to Tescos for £20m? The question was : where is this land that PFC can sell for £20m that you stated you could do earlier on? It's not rocket science, just answer the question! And as for your second point, it's been pointed out to you countless times that you COULD NOT afford the wages, running costs, transfer fees, tax, NI, etc etc. If you COULD afford them you wouldn't have gone into admin twice and be staring down the barrel a third time! As for owners walking away, well that's another fallacy isn't it? Apart from Al Mirage - who didn't exist! - no owners have 'walked' away, but have always sold the club on, debts and all. Each and every time these sales have been given the green light by sitting directors / board members / administrators. It's perfectly legal to sell a club on plus it's liabilities. Perhaps if THE CLUB had been more choosy about who they sold to, then you wouldn't have these problems???

Mental things you did when you were younger
Weston Super Saint replied to Wiggles31's topic in The Lounge
Surely you can now add 'cat-knapping' to your list of heinous crimes -
Funded by? And if the answer to that is Chinny, then why isn't he coughing up the dough now to pay the wages and tax bill? If he thinks admin will mean the tax bill is written off / down he's being ill advised as HMRC are currently owed the same as the other other creditors - players and staff - so they will have a casting vote on a CVA.... They're in a whole world of ****e. I'd love to see how they get out of it this time, and fair play to the person who manages it!!
-
I'm surprised you were listening to BBC radio. Surely you were busy getting yourself settled in at St Andrews at that time, and getting ready to cheer Pompey on weren't you?
-
Not at all. HMRC are not tyrants wishing to destroy every business that gets into trouble. I'm sure if PFC put forward a realistic payment option, backed up with proof of funds - which presumably Kettering have done - then HMRC will be more than willing to drop the WUP. I'm guessing that since they have no money and no realistic way to raise the funds, then they are unable to present a plan for repayment to HMRC. HMRC then only have one option, to get them wound up ASAP so as to reduce their losses....
-
So..... Chinny paid nothing for the club at all - when I stated that about 500 pages ago I was called a bedwetting conspiracy theorist Some reports say he paid £17m for the club - coincidentally the exact same figure he 'won' from daddy in his court case - so even if that cash went to the club it wasn't his anyway, so net outlay from Chinny of £0! So, tell me, what exactly does he have to lose? He's paid nothing at all, and owns the stadium! Whether he sells that to a developer or sells it to PCC under a CPO, he's still paid no money at all, and gets a few million in his back pocket for nothing. Is he better of ploughing millions of pounds into the club to keep it running until a buyer can be found, let's face it, you've been trying to find one for three years now and still no luck, or should he just liquidate the club in two weeks time, pay no money at all, and eventually receive a hefty wedge into his bank account? I'm no hard nosed businessman like 'Arry is, but I know which option I'd take!
-
My guess is he's referring to the cash he gave them at the end of December / beginning of January which is apparently true. That would have been used to pay December's wages - but not the NI or tax! - and maybe he's claiming that it was for January???
-
More fluff and bluster for the phew to vvank over is all that is! He is quoted in that article as 'having paid the January' player's wages, but we know this is b0llocks. He also states he will have a much better idea of how things stand when he comes to england this week. What a load of guff! I'm pretty sure AA can email him all the relevant information and explain what it means over the phone, I fail to see how traveling to England will make things clearer! However, if AA hasn't been telling the truth - like he would do that! - and Chinny wants to come to England to check, he may not like what he finds when he gets here! His whole comments seem very dubious to me, and he's trying to make out that he doesn't really know what's going on! That wouldn't seem to fit with a guy who managed to get a charge raised over CSI the day before the information about the company came out! Don't be fooled, he knows EXACTLY what is going on, EXACTLY how things stand and EXACTLY what he wants / needs to do to ensure he gets as much money as possible! He doesn't give a monkeys about Pompey, never has, never will! Luckily for him though, most of the phew are stupid enough to lap it up when he states how much he loves them!

Because the funds are kept in a third party account for a certain amount of time - ie they sit in the bank account of the card processing merchant, such as streamline. Only after a period of time will they be transferred to the club's bank account. My guess is that since the bank accounts were frozen - on the 3rd jan? - then the third party credit card merchant wouldn't have been able to deposit any money into the club's account anyway as frozen presumably means no deposits or withdrawals. Therefore any card refunds should be possible from the merchant and wouldn't have anything to do with the club.....
