That is EXACTLY how I read it too. Having the WUP means they cannot sell players or the club - I guess they could get around that by selling CSI and thus the club with it. But, they can't enter Voluntary Company Liquidation, and I'm guessing they can't put the club into admin now, but even if they do, then HMRC will be the biggest creditor, so gaining a CVA would mean they would have to agree to pay HMRC 100% of the debt + costs. I guess they could only guarantee they could do this by getting another new owner with lots of cash to burn. As for the Android stating that he thinks there may be a court date scheduled for the end of Feb, I read somewhere that there was one in place for next weds - can't remember where I read it though so no link. That is all completely irrelevant now By receiving a WUP from HMRC the club has now had its very own insolvency event which the FL cannot ignore. Frankly, I think HMRC has learnt from its previous mistakes, and has played a patient waiting game - it could have issued the WUP once they missed the first £800k payment, but waited until they missed the second. This means they are the ONLY creditor of any note, thanks to chinny, who took his charge out on CSI and not Pompey, so he isn't a creditor of Pompey this time round. They also waited until the players were paid so at the time of the insolvency event there were absolutely NO secured creditors - I doubt very much that the £10.8m loaned by the bank robber was secured on anything, well nothing that doesn't already have a secure charge on it by someone else! So, bring on the points deduction, followed by a winding up of the club, a late Xmas pressie

The 'assets' as far as Chinny is concerned amount to the ground, as the child maimer owns / mortgages everything else! We know he has that listed as a £10m asset, but is it seriously worth that? Even with the price of scrap metal being so high, I still can't see that it would be worth even a 20th of that to someone who didn't want to run a football ground on the site - just ask AA how many of those there are!! Last week it was a 'few', early this week it was 'just the one' and now that the one JoCa has pulled out it's back up to a 'few' again. Well, from the article linked above - October 2010 - it would appear they had half the first parachute payment of £8m to get through that season. So, still due : £8m - the other half. £16m £8m £8m However, £22.8m is due to football creditors, so they won't see a penny of that. That leaves : 8+16+8+8 = £40m - £22.8m = £17.2m [at best, if they haven't already taken more in advance]. However, they still owe 20% of £80m in CVA, which equals roughly £16m - I know the 20% is less expenses, but that is what will be paid to the creditors, the expenses will still need to be paid!!!! That leaves, by my calculations, a mere £1.2m from all those parachute payments. How much is gaydamack owed, about £1.5m isn't it? That leaves them needing to find £300k just to pay the basic amounts owed. All this while needing £10.8m cash injection this season [i've not included that as a debt as no-one has asked for it back yet!], just to continue playing Once again, the figures DO NOT add up, although I'm sure the corpse will continue to claim they are debt free and a very attractive proposition for someone to buy!!! ps, all those figures don't include any of the money owing to Chinny and his lucrative interest rates as that money is allegedly covered by his charge over the arena!
