  1. Did, Were and Were are past tense You keep living in the past skateyboy, and leave us in the here and now, top of the league
  2. So, Ben Haim earns more in about three weeks than his new manager will earn in a whole year! Somebody somewhere will be PTSL
  3. Send them to France?
  4. Now that's odd, because I'm sure the Corpse and the other retards stated on here that that debenture was just a glitch in the paperwork and the companies register was just a bit slow in being updated.....
  5. I would suggest that you've been UNlucky to be going to watch another inept, soulless, uninspired, lacklustre England performance. Enjoy the free booze though and get as wasted as you can as quick as you can and the typically poor performance on the pitch might not seem so bad!
  6. Surprise, surprise, the Corpse claims he was just passing on information from another 'source', and not voicing his own opinion! To be fair, I can't remember if you have EVER stated your own opinion, it's always someone else's opinion that you are just 'passing on'! That way you've always got a little 'get out clause' when it turns out to be not true. Not sure I can see much difference to when Phil passes on the info he has heard, which you take great pleasure in ripping to pieces when it's wrong.
  7. Can't beat that, but pretty sure I'm close to equalling it! I once kept a lovely lady from India on the phone whilst I prepared the kitchen, did the washing up, dried the plates, and tidied the kitchen afterwards. Just kept asking her to repeat things several times as there was lots of 'interference' and I couldn't quite understand her. After I'd finished my chores I announced I wasn't interested after all, having got the price of replacement windows down from about £5k to £2k. We had only been living in the house for six months, and bought it brand new, so had no need for new windows anyway. They really should do better research!
  8. Good to see the Corpse has disappeared with all this lack of good news going round
  9. Thermal imagining sounds interesting. Is it like having 'hot' thoughts
  10. Don't do it! I had it in Netley Abbey and it was pretty awful! Signal would drop out for an hour or so most days. Customer service was non-existant. If you have sky already, I'd go with them. Not a great deal better in terms of download speeds, but a much better deal when combined with sky tv, phone etc. Also with Orange you still need a BT line IIRC and line rental with them is like being held up in a stagecoach by masked bandits!
  11. Villa v West Brow - draw Cov v burnley - draw Cardiff v Barnsley - draw Reading v S'ton - draw 97.31 to 1 - worth a quid of anyone's money
  12. Sorry, but I think you've all missed the point! Why has no-one asked how it is possible that an unemployed person is able to afford £950 a month rent in the first place! I agree we should have a system in place for providing for the poor and people who can't work etc, but does the state really need to be forking out £950 each and every month in rent? £950 a month in Southampton would rent a 4 bed house! A four bed detached home in Bristol http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-to-rent/property-31678618.html Another, large four bed detached house in Leeds http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-to-rent/property-34566695.html Perhaps the question should be asked why the rent in London is so severe - or why they are renting such a large house! - and maybe there should be a 'cap' on house prices, rents etc etc.....
  13. Fancy that, the corpse appears with a bit of good news! That's never happened before has it? Now then corpse, tell us again how you fabulous attendances are rising [on average] this season
  14. Strictly speaking, I believe Ipswich is slightly closer to Portsmouth than Southampton
  15. Which leaves the access issue as 'unauthorised', and should therefore be reported to the Police. This would also indicate 'vandalism' as the cause of the TV being damaged. I would mention this to the landlord and see how he reacts....
  16. Whodyanickabollokov?
  17. Most stupid comment on the innernetz! Almost as bad as Dooby Phil! We don't need Rooney. He is a thug and one of the reasons the England team is being held back.
  18. FPMSFL, ROFLMFAO Decent businessmen indeed ROFLMFAO Let's just pick one company they own, Snoras bank. Why is it that such 'decent businessmen' running [presumably] decent businesses, are unable to get a licence to operate their 'bank' in the UK?
  19. Phil, sadly I think you have finally lost the plot! TBF to us, not many of your posts make a great deal of sense, but this one truly takes the biscuit! WTF are you on about! Sounds like something out of conspiracy theory, the next generation! Perhaps avoid posting when bladdered and suffering sleep deprivation?
  20. Corpse, you seem to be conveniently forgetting the sale of Chamberlain which netted [let's be frugal] £10m cash. Add that to your original figures and we're what, probably closer to 50% of turnover. I'd take that kind of figure any day of the week, compared to your [estimated] 120% of turnover
  21. Yes, yes they do! That is why there are PCI - payment card industry - regulations. Merchants are required to keep the copies - with all the details! - for a period of 6 months. 6 months because during that time a payment can be disputed. After 6 months all receipts must be shredded to destroy them. To clear up the debate about customer not present. As DSM has already mentioned it is wholly possible to put through a transaction WITHOUT the CVV, using the numbers from a card. These payments still need to be authorised, either verbally or in writing - such as a signature on an hotel registration form. Not every card machine is authorised to do this, as additional dispensation is needed from the card machine regulators - hence why some posters say yes and some say no! Hopefully this clears up the debate!
  22. Will not happen. The media hype will be bigger than ever - so they can have a bigger go at Where's Wally when we get hammered and don't get through the group stages - remember Turnip Taylor! As a result of this, the St Georges flags will be out in force, with every other house decorated with them, and cars with them all over the bodywork. It'll be truly cringeworthy as ever, but I for one - and not for the first time - will not be participating at all. I can safely say I'd rather watch Eastenders or whatever will be on the other side when the games are on. I was planning to go and stay in my mother in laws flat South of Warsaw for the final fortnight, but really can't be bothered to do that as Spain tickets will be as rare as rocking horse teeth!
  23. Not only that, but even if they are, they will still need the 3 digit code from the back of the card - which they won't have. Besides, they won't even realise until they cash up tonight that they are missing the money. Depends how switched on the manager is as to whether they will find which transaction was not processed correctly. Even when they do find it, they will only be able to rule out theft by an employee as the cause of the loss. I suspect the till is not connected to the pdq machine - it would not have allowed such a mistake if it were - so depending on how busy the store was, it could be an awful lot of work to find £50! So, I guess you're in the clear, but is your conscience
  24. Personally I would go one further. The England failure is wholly attributable to the manager - and to some extent the FA! The manager doesn't care, and successive managers have been this way for many years. I would say this is the fault of the FA paying them inordinate sums of money. What is it £2 or £3m per year! Now I'm not against that per se, it's the state of football these days and we won't change it. What we could do though, and it's pretty easy really. Pay the manager a nominal salary, say £100k per year, and make the rest of the salary performance related. England win games, the manager gets his grubby hands on the cash. This would hopefully encourage the manager to make his selections based on which players are performing at the time, and not just pick the brand names as the easy, lazy option. It would also mean that the manager is hungry for the win, would motivate his players and bring some pride back to the English game. It's not rocket science, but the manager would work for his money, rather than just sit back and count the money regardless of the results, safe in the knowledge that even if he gets sacked he'll have his contract paid up!
