  1. He'll probably play a blinder against us now. Two goaline clearances and a last minute headed goal from a Piroe cross.
  2. Lets not forget both Leeds and Ipswich failed to win at their place this season.
  3. You could argue that the pathway still exists to a degree. He spent six months or so as a Premier League player with us, and now he is on the verge of signing for Juventus. Almost as if we are acting us the middle man for Juventus. Perhaps they were also looking at him when he was in Argentina, were reluctant to take a punt, where as we did. Now they've seen there is a player there, its a bit more attractive for them to take him.
  4. Am wondering if the £40m transfer fee is just a nod to the sort of fee we are wanting for him. We probably know the Juve aren't going to stump up that figure even if he has a stellar loan spell. Much better to put a figure out there that we are looking at if he does have a wonder spell for them. Lets other potential suitors know the figures we are looking for.
  5. Does it really matter what other fans think about him? He was a Saints legend. That's all that matters to me.
  6. I would have rather seen Aribo move on to be honest, but guess the demand for him is not there.
  7. Limited, when you are playing Brewster and McBurnie up top.
  8. Which one? I assume you mean Raymond?
  9. Imagine his transfer value in the game now. At his peak, there was nobody like him. The media had a Gazza love in at the time, but Le Tiss was one another level.
  10. Jesus Christ. You sure you are a Saints fan? That lazy player as you call him is/was the best Saints player ever.
  11. I really dislike them. Dominant club? With a capacity of 12,000 they aren't even above the blue lot. They are clearly worried we are on the way back up.
  12. Thanks. Yeah. I will.
  13. I prefer to remember him for his huge footballing ability and the immense joy he brought to me and my generation of supporters. I consider myself lucky to have been able to watch him live in a Saints shirt. As a club we will not ever have a player like him again.
  14. Said many many times, I couldn't give a shit what he says now. The guy was my footballing hero. Always will be. No other player has given me so much joy watching my club than him. And no other player ever will.
  15. Not sure it matters what system Burnley play. They are chronically lacking quality throughout their team. Much like all the promoted teams this season.
  16. Agreed. Strongest side available, just to see how this team does against Premier League quality.
  17. I don't see the point of making all these changes. You could argue for it against Walsall, but today just smacks of arrogance. I know people will say what about injuries etc, but KWP or Downes etc could get an injury in any game.
  18. Obviously been told he's staying!
  19. Time to cut our losses with him, I fear.
  20. Looks like a case of too many changes. Travelling fans been short changed on this one. Nearly five thousand to watch effectively a reserve team.
  21. Bench is stronger than the starting eleven!
  22. Even before you factor that Potter and Cooper still haven't been snapped up. Although, I think one of them will end up at Palace eventually.
