  1. If the back room staff are the issue, doesn’t reflect very well on Hasenhuttl’s capabilities if he can’t figure this out after 3 years or so
  2. For me, injuries allowing, I’d go: Forster KWP Bednarek Salisu Perraud JWP Romeu Armstrong Redmond Elyounoussi Broja We haven’t created decent opportunity in gods knows how long so there’s really no point having two strikers on the pitch when they barely get a touch of the ball. Would even think about throwing in Diallo possibly at CDM considering Romeu and JWP (Leeds free-kick aside) have been pretty poor recently. Can’t see us getting anything for this no matter who plays though to be honest.
  3. It’s a massive issue, which 90 per cent of people can see - and it clearly shows in our results because practically the only point we have been able to score more than 1 goal in a game this season has been with Perraud at LB. Yes KWP wasn’t terrible today but how many crosses was he able to put in? I can’t remember any because he had to keep checking back. And when we rely on our full-backs for a lot of our width and creativity, upsetting that balance by forcing someone on their weak foot has massively upset that balance. And if you really can’t see that, then just go back and look over our results with KWP at left-back v Perraud at left-back. Even if we did win with KWP at LB, I’m almost certain we only scored 1 goal in the majority of them. Either way yes we probably still lose badly today no matter the line-up but this has been a problem in almost every game for quite a while now.
  4. We either get a clinical striker like Ings who can put away the few chances we create or we try and improve our attacking mid to create more chances and hope finally one of these two can put at least one away. Unfortunately now we have strikers who struggle to score and midfielders who struggle to create and we can’t have it both ways.
  5. Because he has changed away from what was working for him in the winter and is persisting with paying one of our best players out of position to the detriment of the whole team (who granted are also out of form but he has really fucked up the balance hence their ability to perform well too) and refuses to put in an actual left-back who was performing well in that role. He is a good manager when he keeps things simple and actually sticks with our best 11, but why he refuses to fix such a blatant problem which everyone can see is seriously mind-boggling, and he can’t keep his job if he continues making these bizarre decisions - as good as he is when he gets it right.
  6. If we don’t change our setup and start playing players in their positions again then I think we’ll struggle to get another point this season
  7. And immediately Alonso nearly scored with the whole right-side for himself
  8. Wtf is this sub, still no Perraud even with Livramento off the pitch and another player out of position
  9. What’s insane is that he literally found a winning formula with Perraud at left-back - and when he finds a winning formula he is a great manager. But he has literally and deliberately changed away his winning formula and we’ve looked terrible ever since with no sign of going back to what was working for us.
  10. The reason why we keep losing 9-0 is because we have a manager who panics when we start losing by a few goals and just subs on random defensive players with literally on positions, tactics or formations for them and our whole shape just collapses
  11. I know. I want him at right-back too. I’m just merely suggesting because we persist with a manager who refuses to drop Livramento let’s not fuck up the overall team balance, by having a full-back forced to cut-in when we rely on them for any width in the team
  12. This is insane, the subs are just shoehorning more and more players into positions they’re not comfortable in. No wonder they all look completely lost
  13. I’m not, I want him at right-back, but with Livramento somehow unstoppable for Ralph, if KWP has to play on the left I’d rather have him as a right-footed left-winger which many teams do, rather than a right-footed left-back which barely any teams do because it doesn’t work having a full back forced to cut in.
  14. Trust me I want him at RB too but if Livramento isn’t getting dropped then we need an actual left-back in that position. It will be far easier for the whole team with KWP playing out of position on the further up on wing than in defence - we desperately need some width and it’s not happening with a right-footer at left-back.
  15. Yeah spot on, I’m happy for him playing on the left as long as he has an actual left-back with him as he’s decent cutting in, but without a left-back opening up the space for him he just gets easily shuffled down the line by the opposition defence. Its impossible for him to even cut in at the moment cause he’s getting no support out there
  16. Exactly, if both Livramento and Walker-Peters both have to play, KWP is more than capable of playing further up. Even if he plays left-wing at least heI’ll have a left-footer in Perraud able to overlap on their strong-foot
  17. Perraud has to be on second half, even if Livramento stays on I don’t care, but we can’t keep going on playing a diamond midfield when one of our full-backs - who we’re relying on for width - has to constantly cut in. Might aswell even push Walker-Peters further forward, he looks our only threat, but we need a left-footer at left-back desperately
  18. Summed up a second ago, it gets to Walker-Peters who goes on a good run but can’t do anything with it cause he’s playing out of position. And we were actually picking up results with Perraud in the team too - surely there had to be something in Livramento’s contract because how can multiple trained top-flight coaches not see that?
  19. Walker-peters is so wasted on the left also, fed up of our better players not being played in their correct positions
  20. For some reason Romeu is pressing up more than JWP leaving him alone and he’s not quick enough to get back into position. Mental tactics
  21. All four are playing pretty centrally though, but are just going absolutely nowhere. Making no space in attack and opening up the game for Chelsea in defence
  22. Again midfield have just given Chelsea so much time and space - what is happening
  23. Our midfield is being pulled all over the place so easy for Chelsea to open up space - they’re all in such a straight line it’s so easy to get between the defence and midfield and no one is doing into defence when there is an overload.
  24. Same as last season, Saints not able to break teams down who put bodies behind the ball. Unless teams force them to play it quickly, Saints’ build up play is so so slow and so predictable
  25. Three strikers on the pitch and no-one anticipated that.
